I collect photos and art pertaining to foxes. This beauty is the Arctic fox (Vulpes lagopus), also known as the white fox, polar fox, or snow fox. They are common in Iceland. Sadly, they are an endangered species: "The arctic fox is categorized into the Critically Endangered category meaning they are in danger to be extinct in three generations. It is estimated to be a 50% chance. The Arctic fox was impacted hugely by the fur trade because of its extremely high quality fur coat." (Quote source: https://arcticfoxfactz.weebly.com/are-they-endangered.html) An arctic fox's long, fluffy tail acts like a blanket, keeping the fox warm when it wraps the tail around its body to sleep. ~ https://kids.nationalgeographic.com/animals/mammals/facts/arctic-fox Their fur changes colors according to the season. "In the summer the Arctic fox has a brown or great coat with a lighter belly. It then turns into a thick white one in the winter. It is the only canid that changes the colour of its coat, allowing it to camouflage with the snow and ice in the winter and rocks and plants in the summer." ~ https://resources.arctickingdom.com/10-fun-facts-about-arctic-fox #BeKindToAnimals
