I would argue that the preferred currency will be "whatever works", but the point stands. The world wants to use a currency that does not have a central authority. The U.S. Dollar will lose its reserve currency status BECAUSE the U.S. keeps using the dollar as a weapon against people it does not like.

You have to wonder what the crypto market would look like right now if the masses had put no money into coins with ridiculous fees and coins that were literally created as a joke. Imagine if they had all bought coins that worked properly and served a useful purpose for them.

I'm starting to think that politicians will only understand the value of cryptocurrency AFTER they've made it illegal. So, make it illegal. The sooner the better.
