Rain Lily / Zephyranthes. I love rain lilies because of their small, dainty flowers and thin, elongated leaves that could easily be mistaken as weed or grass when they are not in bloom. Rain lilies produce bulbs and can be propagated through division. Much like most plants with bulbs, they are quite hardy and are hard to kill. In tropical areas, I'm not sure if they have a blooming season. From what I've observed, they randomly bloom at any time, but mostly after rain, which is why it's true to its name. I only have the pink variety, as photographed below. I am often on the lookout for other rain lily colors, such as white or yellow, or even the two-toned hybrid ones, which I doubt I'll find growing in some obscure place.
