My basil is growing unchecked, and I'm glad. ☺️💚 I don't normally use basil for cooking, but I do like it in dishes, especially pestos, and I love the scent it spreads in the areas where it grows. Plus, it's easy to grow. Just cut a healthy-looking stem and plant directly in soil. There are different varieties of basil. I don't know the exact type of what I have here though. Perhaps it's a kind of Thai basil because its leaves are more pointed than rounded. Aside from its uses in food and medicine, basil is also a natural insect repellent. There are mosquitoes in our area year-round, so I planted these to sort of help in deterring these pests. 💚🌼🌿 #HerbalPlants
