The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupery is a book that I first read years ago while I was in school. The most memorable line for me is this --- "It is only with the heart that one can see rightly; what is essential is invisible to the eye." I had a copy, but someone borrowed it (can't remember who) and never returned it (which has happened to many, many of my books, collections even). My daughter watched the movie adaptation on Netflix a few weeks ago, and I guess it made an impact on her 'coz she had been bugging me to buy her the book. I did, and she couldn't be happier. 😊💕 It surprised me that my daughter found the book relatable, while I, when I read it years ago, found it tedious to read. I get more excited with fantastical books, like #HarryPotter, #LOTR, and the like. She, on the other hand, seems to prefer materials that are more philosophical, which I admire. I guess she's the type who would love The Alchemist or Tuesdays with Morrie. So, I have to buy her these as my copies have not been returned. My book, #TheAlchemist, is with my friend in Thailand. He told me that he'll return the book when we see each other again. (The book's been with him for more than a decade already!😅) I replied that he should keep it to remind him of me, and we laughed because my book is getting the Thai experience while I am stuck here. 😁 #bookworm #thelittleprince
