Aptenia. This was my aptenia plant that died due to being peed on by my fur babies 🐶🐾 I had two types - one with variegated leaves and one with non-variegated leaves. These are photos of their tiny blooms. Aptenia is also known as aptenia cordifolia or baby sun rose. They also belong to the succulent family. So, watering is only once medium is dry. Do not allow plant to stay moist because it will rot. Propagation is through cutting. Cut a healthy-looking stem and plant. Remove or pinch off blooms so that the plant's energy will be focused on growing roots instead of flowering. Sadly, in my experience, my cuttings did not survive mainly because they had been peed on and it could've affected their survival. I am on the hunt for an aptenia, but they are not common here. I did love their blooms, which is why I miss them in my garden.
