Exotic Food Call it abal-abal in ilocos ,salagubang in Tagalog, June beetle or may beetle is a good food ,an exotic one preferred mostly in Northern Philippines. And we have a good cook on it like frying to the crunchiest that when you bite you can hear the crisp on your mouth. We wen an ILOCO word "nagsaramsam" and "nagnanam" Too bad this is one in a year food na talaga namang kapag tag ulan na ng may or June.. Inaasahan naming may abal-abal na hehe super enjoy manguha neto mga kaibigan ..catching beetles would be fun. During the start of thw month May when first rainfall we preparing the things catching beetles that would come out from soft or sandy soil. The next you visit Ilocos ,try this exotic food one of my favorite talaga kasi sobrang sarap.. At malinamnam gusto is sinasawsaw ko sa SUKANG ILOCO.. Perfect.. 😋
