When I started as a ghostwriter way back in 2019, my client only paid me 150 pesos per 700+ -word article. Since that was my first writing gig as a freelancer, I didn't mind how low the pay was. Eventually, I asked for a raise, and I think she increased it to 250 per article. I know that wasn't enough, but I needed a real writing experience apart from blogging my personal stuff, so I really didn't mind at all. From that small rate, my biggest hourly rate by far is $15. Yeah, it's from the Wiki clients, though, but who knows one day, I'll get more from copywriting. Since Wikipedia has been challenging for me these past few weeks, I might go back to getting more copywriting jobs than focusing on creating Wikipedia pages. It's just that it takes time for the certified editors to review my drafts, and because of that, I don't get to receive my last milestone for each unless they are officially live. So yeah, time to switch to writing again.
