Not sure if he's a scammer but seems like it. Here's the story: Someone DM'd me via messenger and asked me if I know BTC. So I said yes and asked him why. Then he asked me if I could help him send his US friend some BTC, and he would just pay me in PESO afterward. Of course, I said yes. LOL. Just kidding. I said no, of course. Why would I do that? Apart from not having a single amount in BTC, why would I help a total stranger and send another stranger with my crypto? So instead, I told him I don't have BTC, and the least I can do is guide him on how to buy BTC and send it to his friend.

Yup. That's why I re-read his chat before replying just to be sure I won't fall from his trap.
He is surely a scammer, he must have seen something related to crypto from one of your posts. I've encountered such on Twitter before, she said same thing to me though it’s Bitcoincash she wanted. she even suggested that we use "Escrow payment style". Long story short, it was a scam scheme and luckily i didn't fall for it.

They (scammers) keep on increasing everyday and their style evolves everyday.
that's how they survived. they need to upgrade their scamming skills to make sure out of 100 people they try to scam, 1 would fall from their trap. too bad for them, i don't trust strangers.

actually, after this post, i also offered him to send me his money and i buy the btc for him and i will be the one to send it to his friend. lol. he just told me to guide him instead. lol
What you did sis is just right. Nowadays, we should be smarter than the scammers. There are really times that we need to use our brain before our heart.
True is. So many would pretend to need help, but the truth is, they want to scam you.
I think that's a scam, it happens with our friends wife here, not in crypto currency but in her gcash account. The caller said to send a certain amount to a certain person and he will pay later but what happens the caller is out of coverage after the transaction.
This is why whenever I do a transaction to not so verified users, I would tell them to send it first to me. Better be safe than sorry.
