Someone tried to access my FB. Then when I clicked it, I was redirected to this META page. Without any second thought, I changed my password without even verifying if that page was legit or if I typed the new password correctly. When I tried to open my FB using my new password, I couldn't open it. It kept saying, incorrect password. I was worried that I might not be able to open my account ever but because I know what to do, I went straight to my PC and opened it again. This time I did the necessary action and after a few minutes, I secured my account. I also changed all my passwords for all emails, Twitter, and later, I will have to change the rest of my social media accounts just to be sure.

Atleast you secured it immediately damz. I don't have FB so I will not experienced this.

You were a victim of phishing. You must not click on any link that is sent to you by mail unless you are the one who previously requested it to confirm some action.
Yeah. I only realized it after I could no longer access my account even after changing my password.
