*first photo was taken December 2021. Second photo was from December 2022. I realized that the only recent photo that I have of and with Doggie was December of last year when he was so weak. If we are to compare the first and second photo, you can really tell that Doggie is sick. In the second photo, his eyes were like that as he did not sleep the entire night. It was the day after we took hin to the clinic. I also took a video of him as he was having difficulty in breathing. What happened this day was something that I want to erase on my mind because I saw how weak Doggie was. It was hard for me to leave that day for a scheduled out of town because of his condition but I have to. As a furparent, it hurts to see my furbabies in pain and even more so because we cannot exactly know how they are feeling as they could not tell us. It was only because of his cough that we brought him to the clinic. His condition did not improve after a week that his platelets and red blood cells dropped and his white blood cells were too high. A sign of infection. He was positive for blood parasitism. He went on medication for a month and he is still coughing. But the good news is that his platelets and white blood cells are now normal although his red blood cells is a little below the normal. Because of his cough, he needed to undergo some tests again and this time was an xray (third photo) to check his heart, lungs and other organs and also a heart test to measure his heart and if his heart muscles are normal. You can read more about Doggie's health status here --> https://read.cash/@bbyblacksheep/doggies-health-update-6b05f69a I am not used to seeing any of our furbabies sick. If only I can take away their pain, I would. But I can only pray and be beside them even if it is staying up all night just so I can monitor them all the time. They may be old but they will always be my baby dogs.
