Friendship of ivy and wall Could there be anything wrong with endless tolerance for one slightly intrusive being? Do all friends have to be of the same temperament? This is how he thought of the stone wall of the house, which, due to the large and unadorned surfaces, seemed cold and lifeless to itself. He wanted someone's friendship to accompany him closely with warmth and tenderness ..... Seeing the wind bend the small, newly sprouted ivy, he wished with his stability, to be the support of his fragility and to achieve a warm embrace, which he longed for alone. Ivy was a beautiful decoration, and while its branches were still tender, they were both beautiful .... Over time, the ivy grew stronger, its branches became woody and no longer clung gently to the wall, but recklessly penetrated deeper and deeper. In his benevolence, the wall did not realize how much danger threatened him. Innocently he still saw in the ivy that gentle, fragile being, he was proud to be able to help him. It didn't take long for the ivy to completely cover and shade the entire surface of the wall. Not caring what was hurting him, he possessively wanted to overwhelm him to the end. It penetrated his binder, weakened his ligaments, endangered his stability. So closeness turned into a deadly embrace ..... Then the wall realized that even the warm rays of the sun, due to the ivy's parasitic attitude, no longer penetrated to its surfaces. He hoped for an enriching friendship, and the ivy completely overshadowed him. In the ivy's embrace he was no longer nearly as warm as he had once been when warmed by the sun, that distant but true friend. And the heart is like a wall. It is looking for its friends. Therefore, do not allow friendship to bind him with an inadmissible embrace of possessiveness, but with sincere warmth and mutual gift .....
