Čuvarkuća raste svuda… ima je u kamenjarima,na krovovima, terasama, vrtovima. Mesnati zeleni listovi savršeno oblikovani u obliku najljepših cvjetova, primijetili ste ih. Naše su bake uživale u čarima biljke kojoj ništa nije trebalo a što im je pružilo mnogo.Jer, staro narodno vjerovanje kaže da ova biljka štiti kuću od nevremena i udara groma.Čak i njezino latinsko ime u prijevodu znači da ona vječno živi na krovovima... i brine se da smo dobro.Ovu izdržljivu biljku izuzetno je lako uzgajati.Podnose ekstremne uvjete, velike vrućine a isto tako i veliku hladnoću.
