"Paper"

We always use paper without even knowing how does it evolve in what we know as paper today. It is a sheet og interlaced fibers usually cellolose fibers from plants but sometimes from cloth rag or other fibrous materials. That us formed by pulping the fibers and causinv it to felt , mat , to for a solid surface. Writing Materials The evolotion of writing materials culminated in the development of paper. The oldest writte records still surviving are the Sumerian Clay tablets

**Papyrus** came into use about 3500 BC , people of Egypt,Palestine,Seria ,and Southern Europe used pith (soft spongy tissue of the stem ) of sedge

**Parchment** writing material made from skin of animals primarily of sheep , calves , or goats. It was probably developed in the Middle east more or less contemporaneously with papyrus

**Vellum** a writing material from fine skins of young calves , it became most important writing materials for book making while parchment still used for special manuscripts

In ancient times any portable surface that could retain marks were also used as a writing materials
