Smartphone und Tablet ohne Google Store Smartphone and tablet without Google Store #English below Alternative Betriebssysteme für Smartphones gibt es inzwischen viele, wie beispielsweise GrapheneOS. Doch soweit muss man nicht gehen, nur um Google zu meiden. Ein kleines Tablet für unter $ 100 haben wir zum Spielen, Lesen und Chatten angeschafft. Bei der Einrichtung bin ich an Google jedoch verzweifelt. Ich wollte nicht, dass Kontakte aus meinem bisherigen Konto auf das Gerät syncronisiert werden. Doch egal was ich abschaltete, es wurde nach Anmeldung doch wieder syncronisiert. Nach dem fünften Versuch gab ich auf und entschloss mich, es ohne Google-Konto zu versuchen. Und das glückte auf Anhieb. Neben dem geschätzten https://f-droid.org gibt es beispielsweise den Aurora Store, der sich prima per F-droid installieren lässt. Auf deren Seite von GitLab finden sich zudem noch Hinweise zu MicroG als Play Services Alternative (für solche Apps, die auf Googles Framework aufbauen) als auch auf Exodus, das versteckte Aktivitäten offenbart (in Aurora irgendwie bereits integriert). Ich bin schon gespannt, das alles näher zu entdecken. Von dort habe ich zuerst auch Discord, das ich bisher nirgends sonst fand, bevor ich Aurora probierte. Funktioniert prima ganz ohne Google-Konto, und das gar auf einem Gerät mit Android von Google.
