Sometimes all it takes in real estate is showing up. In Upland your gaming piece is called Block Explorer. It moves around randomly. You can look around for properties any place, but to buy you need to visit. If you do not pass along the properties you like, this is done by Sends you collect on the game board. They show up as paper gliders. Whoever first taps it while near gets it. You can then use those to send your Block Explorer to any property for it to start moving randomly there again. From my latest activities in Oakland I went from 10 to only 3 Sends left. I managed to re-aquire 1 or 2 before by using one Send to come near one other floating around. So I used one and received two. But that did not do much. Yet today when I opened the app for regular maintenance I happen to be on course with three Sends and picked up 3+4+1=8 without paying for it. So next time I come across some opportunity like visiting Oakland for the first time, moving around will not be a burden.
