In my opinion, the intent to establish community pantries among numerous locations within a specific locality is indeed noble. However, the personnel/communities that organize this kind of activity must take into consideration the following, to wit: a) strict and proper observance of safety prevention protocols against covid19; b) participants must be limited; and c) a community dedicated personnel must be placed to ensure the proper and equal distribution of goods to the underprivileged. These suggestions are aimed to ensure the safety of the underprivileged who intends to participate therein and to avoid abuse from unscrupulous persons who are taking advantage of project which tends to defeat the latter’s objective and purpose.
