Freddy Krueger Freddy Krueger is a fictional character in the 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' film series. He was created by Wes Craven and made his debut in Craven's 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' as the spirit of a child killer who had been burned to death by his victims' parents after evading prison. Can't recall the number of 'Nightmare of Elm Street' films but he is one of those bonafide bad guys. Imagine being unable to sleep or more accurately, not wanting to sleep because Freddy Krueger, will visit you in your nightmare and give you your untimely schedule with death in your most feared way in the most gruesome way possible.
