Paoay Church and Ruins: a hidden gem of the north

Ilocos Norte is a famous travel destination among local and foreign tourists travelling in the Philippines. One of the famous itineraries when visiting the region is the San Agustin Church or simply Paoay Church.

The earthquake baroque styled architecture is a magnificent representation of how beautiful Baroque churches are during Spanish colonial era in the Philippines. Aside from this, you can also feel the unique ambiance of the place for it retained its spacious and grand demeanor in its interior.

Paoay ruins (Reconstructed)

Not so far from the church are the ruins of an old convent. It was refurbished by the local government however it hold fast to its vision with additional attractions. You can tour the area alongside checking Paoay Church and relive the undying beauty of the area.
