~Cat details~ I have my phone about 3 years now and just a few days ago I discovered that it can focus so nicely (it still depends on a light and stuff but still...) (Omg, I missed so many photo-opportunities 😔) I decided to photograph some cat details. I especially love the paw, I think it's so cute 😍 Do you guys have a camera or do you take pictures using your phone like me? #CatPictures

These are great shots! I love them. I've got into photography with films.... later I practiced with different types of cameras until I've got my favourites and also made some journalism photos... At the moment I make professional projects with camera, but most of the time I use my phone. I use my phone actually to make studies... when I explored a subject, I'll grab a camera and I already know what am I looking for. Phone is truly useful for this matter (too). ProTip I can give to the focus issue on phone (if you know this already, I'm sorry to take your time, but if it's new to you ... try it >D). This is especially useful when you shoot macros with the phone: Whenever you decide what do you want to capture, which part of your composition has to be in focus, simply put your finger on the area and hold a couple of seconds. A yellow/white square will pop in and above the viewer it will appear the "AE/AF Lock" this way you can easily fine-adjust the focus in macro shot by bringing back and forth the phone from the subject. Or by the focus locked, you can easily adjust the brightness and exposure (still merged together) to the whole. I find them quite useful... all my photos I shared here were made by phone and I often use the same method.... I hope this was useful and I wish you a great day... keep up Noising >D
Soo cool that you use your phone as well. It actually makes sense, with the study first. I know the trick, but when I'm too close to the subject that I'm photographing my phone is unable to focus. You just can't get the same results like with a professional camera. But I'm not bothered by that. Have a nice day too :)
Yes, much depend on the lens... and the lens in the phones must be for general purpose... so quite wide (18ish mm focal point) and thats why we need a certain amount of space away of the subject... but this is true to the professional cameras as well - except when you use a macro lens. In my opinion (I did editorials, catalogues, product photos with phones) eyes and mind for the nuances - such as your - is much more important than gear.... When this is settled, the gear will come >D More drawings and more photos please!
