~Illustration and poetry 2~ #adoniis_art #adoniis_journal I wrote this poem after I read "Alice in Wonderland" by Lewis Carroll. There's this passage where Alice is drowning in her own tears. It goes like this (copied from Google): "... her foot slipped, and in another moment, splash! she was up to her chin in salt water. He first idea was that she had somehow fallen into the sea... However, she soon made out that she was in the pool of tears which she had wept when she was nine feet high. 'I wish I hadn't cried so much!' said Alice, as she swam about, trying to find her way out. 'I shall be punished for it now, I suppose, by being drowned in my own tears!' " Well, I would not want to be in her situation, though I found it somewhat relatable! So I wrote a poem named "Not The Alice" (like I'm not her, but my situation is very similar). Here's the end of the poem translated from my language: "What do you wish for? To finally fall upon. To taste the last reward Before you suffocate In a liquid hell. Because with every smile There's the thought. About the salty lake The Alice fall in. About the chance to drown in it." (I have no idea why, but I can't write poetry that's not depressive ππ sorry.) I did some illustrations for it as well π #Art
