~The cathedral that I could not even photograph properly~ Hello :) This is a throwback to a school trip with my college class. We traveled from Czech Republic to Germany and then to Amsterdam to visit about 5 (I think) famous galleries π And in Cologne (or KΓΆln) in Germany, we were passing by this huge Cathedral π I couldn't even fit it in a frame to capture it properly (as you can see on my unprofessional pictures...), that's how monumental it is! π I mean... The people on the pictures look like an ants compared to the building, don't they? On wiki it says that it's the "Cologne Cathedral" and it's currently the tallest twin-spired church in the world, the second tallest church in Europe, and the third tallest church in the world. And we were just passing by like nothing was happening! I'm kind of sad now... π that I didn't have the chance to stop and admire it (even though it was raining pretty badly). #Travel

Wow, so cool place! Seems like that is so old building
Thanks :) I think it's from 16th century...
It's gothic, so waaay back! >D The building started in 1248 because the "old church" (which was finished in the year of 818) was destroyed by fire. The cathedral was opened to the pilgrims in 1322 but with a huge task list to complete.... Because there was a huge list of "issues" they stopped the building in the 16th century.... It was finished finally in 14 August 1880 after more than six centuries as it started.... fo course it suffered some hits during the II. WW. but that's another story, for a another time. Meanwhile, I encourage you, (if you like of course) to make just a sketch about it in your style until 14 august >D Would be a cool #TBT #drawing Noise >D Great memory!
Oh, I always mess up the centuries, this caused me problems in school as well π even though I know it's gothic... The sketch thing you mentioned... Is it some kind of challenge I don't know about? π π
No, this was just a suggestion. But you can make one! >D The best challenges are those which we make to ourselves! >D
