Do you lie? The dictionary definition of lie is: to invent a false statement with the intention to deceive. In terms of human behavior a lie can be defined as any covert behavior used to create or bare false impression or to deceive another in order to retain or gain advantage If you suspect someone is lying, ask open-ended questions, keeping in mind that the person being questioned will not likely provide you with direct answers to your questions. Do people lie? Yes they do. Why people lie? The answer is that people lie to avoid being in trouble, to avoid consequences and to gain rewards. Why people lie is the question that has been hassling people since time immemorial. Some lies are part of a game but there are also lies that are told to avoid getting into trouble. It is to be noted that most of the lies do not come from people who lack moral values; but it is the mental illness that actually forces people to lie. In some cases, even if people have nothing to hide, they might still lie for their own personal reasons. The reasons why people lie are many. They do so because they want to · ***bring pleasure to themselves,*** ***· escape problems,*** ***· minimize social or financial losses,*** ***· protect others***. What methods to use? People may use the following methods: · ***Lie,*** ***· deceive,*** ***· pretend,*** ***· hide the truth,*** ***· play a role,*** ***· act,*** ***· camouflage,*** ***· feign,*** ***· strain (force),*** ***· and be unwilling to speak.*** In the same way, liars can lie for different reasons:- A person lies because he/she is forced to do so. For example, a person may not want to tell the truth and is forced to lie; for instance, if a police officer asks about whether he/she was drinking at a party and he/she had been drinking at that party.- A person lies because of pressure from others. People often lie because they want to please other people. They do so in order to be accepted by their friends and loved ones. For instance, if a woman is engaged to a man, her mother may want her to lie about her age and say that she is younger than she really is; this would make her mother happier.- A person lies because lying is easy than telling the truth. That is why some people will lie even though they have no reason to do so; it is easier just not to tell the truth. *****To my wonderful subscribers, inspiring readers, commentator, upvoters and also my generous sponsors . This topic just reminded me of a scenario I witnessed during a Church outreach. We met this elderly man on a drinking spot, we were ministering to him when he paused us to ask us a question, and the question goes like this; "Have you lied before?" We couldn't hold the luaghter with the he positioned the question 🤣🤣
Yes, I lie. For certain reasons. But, I do not lie so others will be at risk.
Some have seen lies as something normal and it becomes so easy for them every single day because that's what they do every day.
Some people can drink lie like drinking hot water, not taking into considration that it can burn their tongue and mouth. Lie destroys reputation and dignity, it destroys human value and make one a reproach. No one ever takes a liar serious for all Iknow, especially a cronic one.
People are born to lie . In fact lie is a thing when we face a problem we can't solve and we want to escape from it. Before lying to other people , firstly you are lying yourself. Keep doing better things for your self ,you will contribute in community too.
