Yesterday in Discord of Splinterlands, there was a short little message that I found would deserve more plublicity. From now on it's possible to use SPS to purchase credits in the game. This means that you can actually buy cards on the market with your SPS. This will now be possible to do without leaving the platform. I think this is positive for the game and also for SPS. https://peakd.com/hive-13323/@achim03/tubluvdm #Splinterlands

I was a little skeptic yesterday when they announce it, but like an hour later my SPS stash price was higher and I was like... could it be? Now, today I see the price and it's even higher! It has to be! right?! The guys behind Splinterlands really know their business! I'm so glad I finally jumped in!
I agree with you, these guys are doing a tremendous job. Since they started with this game, their moves made always a lot of sense bringing as much value as possible back to players. I believe that is the reason for their success.
I really don't understand the game. tried once but there are a lot of things I don't understand. gonna go to youtube for tutorials
The game is not that easy to understand when you get started. Some time ago, I create an online course for beginners that is free. This might help you to get started: https://www.ref-hunters.ch/team/member/produkt/the-splinterlands-academy/
I really love the credits system and how it provides so many different cryptocurrencies to be used. Nice to see SPS being added to the list. Any idea what is done with the SPS that are received?
That's a very good question. I would also like to know the answer to that :-). I believe it is used to purchase DEC since sellers are actually recieving DEC when they sell cards.
I figured something like that, devs get the SPS and they load the account with credits that equal a stable coin (they can hold or sell the SPS or other crypto they receive to find their reserves) once credits are used they use the reserves to buy DEC which gets used for the payment. That would make sense.
That makes a lot of sense. What I wonder whether there is a direct exchange mechanisme in place that takes the SPS and swaps it or whether the game actually has hot wallets to play intermediary.
