For somebody like me that has been playing Splinterlands for several years, the card series are easy to understand. For somebody who is new to the game and has to struggle already to understand how things work, this might actually be quite tricky. Lately, I had several people who asked questions regarding these card series and I thought in might be a good idea to create a little tutorial: https://peakd.com/hive-13323/@achim03/wkljzgyi #Splinterlands

Thank you for the informative post! I didn't know about that difference between Alpha and Beta cards, I was just wondering the other day why the same cards were more expensive on Alpha and you answer to my question! Thank you! I will have it in mind in case I need to rent a card that is available in both editions.
There is another thing I forgot to mention in the video. When you play alpha and beta packs you get a bonus for DEC prices. You get even a bigger bonus when you play Gold foil cards.... I need to make another video about that lol
Wow!!! That's nice and now I understand why they are so expensive! It's amazing, they should do that we new assets in Splinterlands but different things, like getting more SPS if you have land or something similar. Thank you for mentioning! 😊
That's actually already the case :-). The more assets you own the more daily SPS airdrop you get! Btw, you inspired me to make my latest video :-) https://peakd.com/hive-13323/@achim03/jvhsvwlb
Nice! I'm glad I was of some inspiration! 😊 I just watched the video! Very interesting, specially I found illuminating about the pool size at the beginning of the season. That's why I was winning so little DEC at the end of the past season, but at the beginning of the next, I was winning a lot per match. I suspect that the influx of new player had eroded a lot of the reward pool, too, something that didn't happen in the past weeks prior to the SPS airdrop.
I think that the number of new people joining reduces the overall rewards in DEC since the rewarding pool is limited in size.
