Once a while, my colleagues and I looked at each other while going out for lunch. Sometimes, one would say Chinatown. Then, one bus ride or one train ride later, we end up at People’s Park food centre. One of the two usual mala xiang guo stall I go to is this one near the entrance. You tell them to pick the food you wanted, they tell you how much to pay. This time it was $7. I’ve paid $9 and $11 before. Batman held my table while I went to get a coffee from another stall. Then back to wait for the number to be displayed and go collect it. Somehow, the lady shout out my number this time.
