📷May Day food trail | 五一美食之旅😎 Going out looking for lunch on May Day. Parked further from the place I wanted to go. Passed by a pavilion which was cordoned off to be used as a polling station. Passed by another badminton court where I hope to play pickleball too. Went the food centre and decided to buy a porridge from this stall at a corner. From where I sat, I could see people playing pickleball at the multiple-purpose court. Collected the last bowl of grouper fish porridge from them at $6.80. My wife bought porridge from another stall and she thought their standard has dropped. I went to a dessert stall to back something back to her parents' place. Two soya bean and grass jelly drinks and two bowls grass jelly. My wife went to the hokkien mee stall to buy food for her parents. The $8 packet seemed quite small. My wife and I left to go out for dinner and decided to drive to the NUSS Guild House at Mandalay Road. The restaurant was not open yet. We went to the bar to look at the menu and ordered our food to be served there. It's nice to get warm water. The yam cake was OK. The char siew bao was nice too. My wife like the yunnan dumplings but I thought they were a bit small. They served the chrysanthemum tea only after we reminded them. The fried kway teow with chaipo was good but I didn't think I would be able to finish the whole thing myself. After 15% discount, the dinner cost us about $34.
