Silent Snowfall The early winter comes with a lullaby, Putting those angels into painless sleep As their wings grow little by little, So they can fly. So they can fly higher than those missiles. Mothers stop crying, For no one hears their voices. And fathers tell them a story Of what dreams once felt like. And to have something to wake up to. The snowflakes seem to carry Remnants of frozen hopes, On a windless night, on a scorching land. They float, they fall, Floating and falling outside the window, Tracing the sea of burning land, Piling up and up, forming a mountain of ashes. A mountain of those who hope To live once again, And live a second life In a world where grief and pain, war and hunger Cease to exist, And children can play as much as they want, Fly and be free, Knowing that they still have a home to return to. 2:13Am thoughts and tears in silence
