FULL ALBUM FRIDAY! Full disclaimer: Phil Anselmo has recently-ish decided to embrace some racist, nazi shit. He claims it was "a joke" but I have no idea... I can't say I've ever made "a joke" that involves giving the Nazi Salute to a crowd of people, or made any offensive comments without giving proper context... This is absolutely heartbreaking to me. Pantera was a great band, but DOWN got me through some dark times. I've seen them live in concert a few times (before all the racist shit went down), the first time was such a laid back show where Phil just kinda talked to the crowd about life and their music between songs. Currently the band consists of Phil Anselmo (Pantera), Jimmy Bower (Eyehategod/Crowbar), Pepper Keenan (Corrosion of Conformity), Kirk Windstein (Crowbar), and Pat Bruders (Goatwhore). Their second album (2: A Bustle in your Hedgerow) was the first album of theirs that I heard. It's much more laid back and southern rock style than their other albums, making it a bit easier to consume. It's got a real southern rock kinda groove to it.
