How do you prevent your eyes from watering when you are cutting onions? This question popped in my mind when I was tearfully cutting some onions last night. I've seen a few suggestions and tips, but there will surely be much more. 1. Wear eye glasses or shades or a visor 2. Cut them under water 3. Make chewing motions with your mouth. This drains the tears better 4. Force the air away by directing a fan at them. Any more tips? Photo is of the onions I cut messily yesterday - does the photo make your eyes water?
