Boats on Google Recaptcha and hCaptcha. Both Recaptcha and hCaptcha have a grid of nine and ask you to choose a set of items - crossings, trucks, airplanes .... and boats. Boats are interesting on CAPTCHAs. We've mentioned it in this channel before for Recaptcha. You'll notice at least 3 main differences between Recaptcha and hCaptcha. 1. Even though they are bothe 3x3 grids, the Recaptcha images are slightly bigger and easier to recognise. 2. Recaptcha is almost always a set of 3 choices. hCaptcha varies in its number of 'boats' 3. hCaptcha boats are almost always on water. For Google, bizarrely, the boats are on land or on trailers. I wonder which one is better at separating humans from bots!
