Spider suspension. I've had this spider right at the entrance of the balcony for a couple of weeks now. It usually weaves it's web at a low level height and I end up walking into it or clearing it up to access the balcony. It seems to be an intelligent fellow. It changed tactics and has now weaved it's web at a higher level. You have to strain hard to see the web, and it looks like the spider is suspended midair! The web has survived some really strong winds and rains overnight, so hopefully it's going to enjoy it's balcony home!
