Railway crossings are bizarre moments here in India. You'd expect that vehicles would line up and wait patiently. Not in india! The car behind me overtook me as I was waiting and sneaked into the gap between the boomgate and me. Bikes swarmed around me and blocked the entire road. The same was the situation on the other side. Everyone was hoping to be the first off the blocks when the gates opened. But as you can imagine - once the gates opened, it was just a massive jam that caused 2 minutes extra delay. We're always in a hurry, but never on time!
