and it happen all over again, and I’ve seen this for a hundred times around— the one where you close the door softly, the one where you left your letters on the countertop, the one where you let your fingers slip off my hand. it was like an anthology of remembering someone leaving. replaying all over and over again. and i am sick of being the only one who remembers. and the only one who still loves. it is like putting salt on my wounds. like you are a funeral that is hard to say my goodbyes or you’re just another heartbreak i’d still want to have. and watching you leave again is like looking at a sunset, but this time, i am alone. and you are the one who is drifting away.
