Do you ever wonder where the time goes One day you're looking in the mirror Seeing a young person staring back at you Then all of a sudden the picture changes ~ Slowly time takes away that once perfect skin Leaving wrinkles now upon it's surface The long full head of hair now a memory Or with new grey highlights there within ~ For me it's quite scary how fast we change I'm still living like a child here within my mind Yet as I look at this stranger in the mirror Reality comes forward to slap me in the face ~ I'm now looking more like my grandparents The ones who helped guide me through life While I'm left wondering where exactly did it go And if now it's my time to do the same ~ I look at the young as I walk down the street I remember the days when I was that carefree When my biggest worry would be If I'm going out at the weekend or not ~ If there's anyone young here reading this My advice for you would be Live life while you still have the chance As time has a way of taking it away from you ~ Make sure you tell the ones you love Just how much they mean to you Make a point of doing this every day Because time fly's by at the blink of an eye ~ Go out and reach those goals you've set You only get one life to make a difference So don't waste the time you're given Living in the mistakes of yesterday ~ Try to smile every single day Because time will soon drift on You'll want to relive those memories When you get grey and old.
