If I was still the person who I used to be, I would get mad at myself for not being of help to anyone; for not reaching out my hand to those who need it; for being so useless, I would say stuff like that. But thank goodness, I have changed—the old me would still give anything to people, despite being left with emptiness; she would set aside her own problems and deal with anyone else's, and once she comes face to face with her own difficulties, she would blame herself for not solving it at the earlier time. I used to neglect myself once a person needs my help, 'though I am also going through my hardest of times. But these days, that mindset of mine had vanished; I am lending a hand not for anyone, but for myself, this time. We no longer take ourself for granted, my dearest self—we learn how to be gentle and kind towards our own being now.
