Inspired by the Ratatoskr post:⚒ Did you know that the giant Þrymr stole Thor's hammer & held it for ransom requesting to be married to Freyja in exchange for the return of Mjölnir. The Æsir discussed it & left it to Freyja to decide, to which she declined. So in order to reclaim Mjölnir Thor dressed up as Freyja & with Loki as his Bridesmaid accepted the proposal of Þrymr. Waiting for the opportune time, when Þrymr placed the hammer between the legs of his would be bride, Thor snatched back Mjölnir & killed the giant. Moral of the story: either Thor was a sexy b*tch, or Freyja wasn't, or giants think all the Æsir looked alike & wanted to f*ck them anyways. Do not let anyone tell you Norse paganism isn't an inclusive religion! Source: Þrymskviða in the Poetic Edda Paraphrased by me!😆 #DidYouKnow
