Just a thought for your Sunday. It is the end of the month & over the last month our government & banks have announced they will be raising borrowing rates to try & curb inflation. Professionals keep saying that you should cut your expenses by making coffee at home, eating out less, avoid unnecessary shopping etc. I feel it only fair to point out the damage this advice does as well. By spending less on these things we are essentially creating an environment that no longer employs millions of people leading to much larger demand for social assistance programs & forcing us further into a recession. The middle class & 'freedom fighters' always like to say that raising interest rates is a war on the middle class but remember that while it may be inconvenient for you to cut back on your drive thru coffee that inconvenience to you is life or death to those that serve you. The only ones unscathed by rising interest are the ones causing the inflation to begin with, the ones that have been profiting off every step & will continue to just pass on the costs. Support your local businesses, your mom & pop stores & tell the big chains enough is enough. Stop stepping over each other for a second/third/fourth property with the idea of forcing those drive thru workers to pay exorbitantly high rent prices while also attacking their livelihood as the thing you are cutting out to meet your goals. We need to work together, not prey on each other.❤
