Extreme weather affects everyone, remember when Texas was sent into statewide emergency over a light dusting of snow & northerners were laughing at them. This current heatwave in areas that are not used to it is the same thing. Areas in the north-west are seeing 50°+ in areas without infrastructure to handle it just like that unusual cold that hit Texas people are facing extremes they are not prepared for.
