This is kind of a review to the movie I've watched. It's called "Ang Tanging Pamilya" staring Toni Gonzaga, Sam Milby, Ai-ai delas Alas, and former president Joseph "Erap" Estrada. It's a blockbuster movie that's streaming on Kapamilya Channel. If you're watching on Kapamilya Channel you'd notice that everyday at 10am to 12pm, there's always a movie to watch right before Showtime goes Live.
The story is kind of about a girl "Charlie", played by Toni Gonzaga, who meet "Prince", played by Sam Milby, online. And then he kind of went all the way to her country to ask her hand in marriage. But her parents, of course are against the marriage especially her father. It's kind of like a rom-com "romantic comedy" movie.
Which is kind of like a norm nowadays. Meeting somebody online because of the Internet and falling in love. Then before you know it, they're getting ready to get married.
But of course, being a father, Erap's character is still warry of the groom to be. Like any father should be. Because you might never know what your child is getting herself into. Like most of what I've watched online, mostly crime documentaries, marrying someone who you've just met online is never guaranteed a happy ending.
And her father kind of gets in the way of their marriage. And all things happen that kind of called off the wedding. Meeting the parents wasn't going on as planned for them and the mothers weren't on the same page. But in the end they still got their happy ending.
Moral of the Day
Guess what I really wanted to say is, be wary of the strangers that you meet online. Especially when you're single and getting ready for a new relationship. I've watched a lot of crime documentaries that relationships that started online doesn't really go well. But of course I'm saying that it won't be successful either.
Before you start falling in love with the stranger at least get to know him first. Like basic informations about him, and kind of be alert with any red flags.
While most movies would take this on a romantic route, sadly things do that way in real life. Always keep in mind that life is so much different from the movies. And if you're a hopeless romantic, please please differ romance in movies from real life romance.
Though honestly speaking I've meet strangers online too. Way back before I met my partner btw. It was all fun and all. Of course meeting other was such a delight. Let alone online right?
Until things started to get serious.
And then I started to ignore his messages because he started asking me for certain things. Which I wouldn't give so easily especially on the Internet. Where you could instantly go viral when you do something so stupid.
And of course, parents should also be very wary of any suitors of their children. Not just online but also in personal. Because I've read about something online that guys tend to put on a "good guy" facade. Of course it's to impress both the girl and her parents. But who knows, how he behaves behind closed doors.
That's why it's really important to know your lover or partner before you eventually decide to settle down.
And of course I wanna say thank you to this beautiful lady. Kindly check her profile you guys she's a very beautiful soul.
