I battle with mealybug and aphids every year, my poor flowers get infested every time and I have to save what I can.... This year it seems harder than expected! But I'm not giving up. Aphids were my enemies this year as well as last year ... and so on.
Is that because it does not rain? I mean water seems to be very effective with them, maybe a good quite heavy rain could be a way to 'sink' them?
I don't know if they have anything to do with the rains. I use insecticides and I know that ladybugs eat aphids, but where can we get ladybugs?
Well I'm pretty lucky with ladybugs This year I've found out there is a nursery of ladybugs in one of my vases infact aphids are quite gone but that white pest is still there...... 😥
That white pest bothers me too and I didn't find an antidote.
I tried an old remedy made with water, garlic, Marseille soap, wine and tobacco. It works for a bit but it's not 'final', you have to spray it everyday
