Random Day Off
Yesterday was assumed to be my rest day. Be that as it may, I'm telling you, a mother has no rest day. I began the morning with the usual house chores like getting ready for breakfast. The children requested that I prepare a cake for them so I did. After that, I hung my laundry which is as yet not dry from hanging yesterday. Mr.Sunny missed the mark yesterday. I was trusting it's not the same as the present time.
As I cleaned our LPG gas oven in the kitchen, I saw it was excessively old. It is now giving yellowish fire and it has heaps of flakings. One of the aluminum burners has an enormous hole after I cleaned it. The opening brought about by the chipping was now so visible.
So, with the assistance of my son, we change it by replacing another old one yet much better because it has no flakings.
We change the hose too that interfaces with the controller. It as of now begins to become sticky and seems melting and not safe to use by any means for long.
The beneficial thing I saw it before anything wrong will occur during my absence. Its not visible because it was hidden behind the stove thats why. This is for temporary only. I realize we need a new one yet not this exact instant. This is a disadvantage of having no matured man at the house most of the time.
I was practically alone in the house and was gazing out the window that faces the east. Nearly alone because everyone was out. Just three of us were left, my two girls who were both sleeping and I. Our area's mobile network wasn't working since the previous evening so it adds boredom to anybody in the house who needs internet. I didn't go to work likewise because it was my manager's vacation day from her work so along with her daughter and one of my fellow employees (stay-in) they watched the snack house where I usually worked.
The river underneath our home was uproarious yet it's a sort of clamor that is satisfying to my ears. For those who knew about me, I sent photos of this in different scenery.
It was my first time doing this. Sitting by the window while typing with my phone's keyboard. For some odd reason hubby got back another center table. I bought one a few years and because we just have a little space at home because our home was somewhat bigger than a pigpen, I chose to move the old table inside our room. It filled in as a review table for my oldest girl after when she is doing her modules. She even thinks that it is gainful because she can focus without everybody moving around the house. The table was put close to the window.
Thus, when everyone was out and my oldest and her young sister were snoozing, I attempted to get mine too. Sadly, my sleep is excessively elusive such that I considered catching it out from the window. 😅 I sat at the table in our room and watch the rice paddies underneath. The view was not excessively charming. The rice grains were at that point collected. No more greens and golds just exhausted rice stalks and its new shoots attempting to peep outside from the dried mud. There's a carabao benefiting from bathing in a mud pool it created from the collected rain in that abandoned field. His owner came later and feed her with collected grasses and here I saw she has a baby. Her baby might not visible because its color mixed with the color of the mud.
The rice fields are not as actively the same as the previous year. There were only few that were cultivated for gardening. Perhaps it's because we had a poor crop last year. It seems there was a soil disease that pestered the crops. The sweet potatoes were damaged by larvas. Likewise with the corns and beans.
Near the ricefield where the carabao was located, there's a farmer/gardener who attempts to select from his seedlings to transfer it one of the ricefield he just plowed on the other side of the river. If you can see it, its near the bridge. I'm curious what vegetables are they. Some way or another I was interested in the outcome.
Two years back, I recalled that he had grown cauliflowers in another ricefield. He additionally developed carrots and the reap was awesome. My sons had the option to gather rejects from their collections at that time. Rejects that were as yet acceptable, just their sizes were not of the right size. It saved a penny for a viand and I'm grateful for that. One more year, they attempted another vegetable, I simply don't recollect what is it yet it was harmed by a strong hurricane. The area was alongside the embankment so when the storm came, the water in the river rose and the barrier was damaged which caused the already little ricefield to lessen because a portion of it was moved by the strong current. Hopefully this year, the gardener's yield will be good. It's not that we can request his gather for free again except for it's a farmer's wish to a fellow farmer.
The downpour fell before I had the option to gather the garments I hanged earlier yesterday. The beneficial thing my oldest girl woke up on time and assisted me with the garments. Lamentably I felt sorry about @Z_graeden when I learned she wasn't able to collect her clothing because the downpour was so quick and she was doing some other task at that time. What a mischievous climate. I even nearly slipped because I immediately ran outside our entryway just to save my nearly dried clothing. 🤣 My foot got snared with the obstruction I nailed in our lower door frame to forestall our dog and other pets in entering into our home.
It was nearly 5 pm and the pigs are beginning to cry. It's time to feed them. Hubby called in my phone and requested the young boys to meet him at the main road. That time, the boys were at home. I generally used to my oldest kid to do the task of taking care of the pigs since I appointed it to him however this time I needed to do this myself because he has an errand to do for his dad. It began to rain hard.
The pigpen is found just beneath our house, so in the wake of taking care of I went upstairs and fresh tilapia on our kitchen table. I asked the little youngsters who brought it and they told me it was from a granddad, my husbands uncle.
What a blessing and a pleasant viand in this chilly climate. Later the young men showed up with their dad. He just came home from work from a neighbor province and just came for his scheduled follow up check up on Monday. My youngest girl was so eager to open the eco-bag his Daddy has carried with him. During his call an hour prior she mentioned to her father to buy her treats and a milk tea additionally however I discouraged her dad for the milk tea since it's cold and my little girl has a slight cold too so his father bought biscuits rather for every one of them and a chocolate drink (Chuckies) for "her".
An hour after, I began cleaning the fish when a neighbor called my name. She was selling a fresh pechay.
Hubby purchased two bundles since we're a big family and one group would be sufficient for a solitary dinner. We will cook the other one tomorrow. Since we don't have a fridge, I left the uncooked bundle outside to save its freshness under the rain.
Afterward, Vionce, my second girl brought home a pink eco-bag containing fresh peanuts in one of her hand. Thanks, Z_graeden for the fresh peanuts.
I put the peanuts in the pot and place them over the fire after I arranged our supper.
Next thing I knew, we all retired to bed few hours after a healthy dinner.
Presently,I am helping my kids with their modules.Other activities involved lots of sleeping and eating. 😁I won't continue to discuss the details of my activity today so not to bore you all but thanks for those who come to read this random article of mine. 🤣🤣🤣

Fatherless Child
I was on my latest travel when I listened to a played local song on my phone. Though it's kinda sad I just love its tune and the message. It's about a young girl who is putting his brother to sleep. She sang a song to keep her brother silent. Other details of the song I put into a poem. I made an edition also. I hope I wrote it well.
Sleep my brother sleep,
Please don't cry
Mama's not here
But your sister hugs you tight.
Quiet down now please,
Mother finds us food to eat.
Papa's not around,
He departed from us in peace.
If only Papa was still alive,
he would be carrying you with his mighty arms.
I would be in school with my books,
Not silently weeping with you in this nook.
Little brother, please do sleep,
I'm simply keeping down my tears
From **tumbling** down my cheeks,
I do feel sorry for you but I have nothing for you to feed.
How mischievous this life is,
Yesterday we were happy and now we bleed.
We formerly enjoyed our existence,
Now it seems for happiness we had no chance.
Hush brother hush,
Please be quiet and calm.
Mama and I will be here
And ensure you my brother dear.
When someday **you** grow up,
Please be strong and be a man.
Since regardless of how we wished to stay close by,
Mama and I don't wield our lives.
However if a few years from now,
You will be on your own.
Be strong to live in this world alone,
don't forget where you came from.
Don't turn back from your loved ones,
don't get embarrassed by mama's calloused hands,
Remember you were nurtured by sweat and blood,
Stay humble and set your feet on the ground.
May we endure these tough days,
May we survive another year.
May you can surpass another mile,
to be with your own blissful life.
May God grant us my plea,
lift us from this difficulty.
May He listens to the prayer of a fatherless child,
a small voice amidst the world so wide.

A Day in Mt. Polis
The notice came unexpectedly, again. I was suppose to go to work when my sister-in-law called me by phone and asked me something. The main topic started to change and later I discovered that they planned to visit one of their relative in Mount Polis, an auntie who was recently discharge from the medical hospital from pneumonia. I needed to drop my plan for the day since I also couldn't visit her during her hospitalization. I gave notice to my boss that I can't come to work.
I wasn't prepared for the visit that I was concerned I had nothing to bring except for my sister-in-law guaranteed me that she had prepared a cake and that would be both our pasalubong.
We, Filipinos are used to bring something at whatever point we visit a relative particularly during affliction, death and visit to our friends, in- laws and companions. As an Igorot, this was a trait and customs we never fail to do until today.
The sun was splendid when we began our trip. I carried with me my coat since I realize that it is so cold at our destination.
Just in case you haven't been to Mt. Polis, *Mount Polis is a 6,216-foot mountain peak located on the borders of the provinces of Ifugao and Mountain Province in the Philippines. It ranks as the third highest mountain in Ifugao province and the 124th highest mountain in Philippines. (Wikipedia)*
Expect to see the foggy mountains and moist environmental elements. The area is located in an elevated part, that is the reason the temperature is cool.
The place is perfect for individuals who loved to stay in a place with cool weather. Anticipate to dry your laundry for how many days though. If you planned to travel to Banaue starting from our location, you can pass by it before you arrived at their main district, Banaue. But if you start your travel from Manila, it will be the last place before you enter our municipality, Bontoc, which belongs to our province the Mountain Province.
We were kilometer away from our destination when we encountered rain showers. We set our coats and shut the windows since it's beginning to get cold.
When we arrived at the location, we can't find the houses because of the thick clouds.
We had our lunch at the area afterwards. We didn't realize that it was a get together and a simple celebration for the host, the aunt, so we met different family members from my in-laws side. Later, our young nephew started to pitch tantrums so I conveyed him outside the house and I attempted to pay him off with treats. We met his older brother en route and together we search for a store.
The place appears like a zombie land when we attempted to walk around the place. Many stores were shut and I don't know why when this was once a bustling street since it is along the highway and numerous travellers who wanted to purchase vegetables stopped by the area. Perhaps because it was Sunday and local people went to attend church service. Most primary type of revenue of individuals in here are gardening and selling sand and gravel. They can't raise livestock properly since it is cold most of the time.
I took photograph of this tremendous sculpture of Mary. This is the neighborhood landmark of Mount Polis.A new church was intended to get erected close to it that is somewhat sponsored by the auntie we visited. The surroundings was a bit messy than the previous time we visited in here. These "mess" will be used for the new church construction.
Before we left, the host of the house let us wander in her chayote garden and permitted us to reap it's fruits and chayote tops also.
The place of the aunt we visited possessed the surroundings of her house. It was so wide to such an extent that we don't have the foggiest idea where to begin harvesting. Then she pointed the part where we can gather. It is located in her backyard.
I was astounded by the landscape in the backyard. It appears as though you are on top of a mountain and the sky is reachable. The mist was down that is the reason the adjoining mountains can't be seen. It was my first time to stay longer in this place. I only experienced passing by when I had a short visit to Banaue and to lowlands.
We enjoyed gathering chayote tops and even excited when we find fruits since it was just starting to produce it's fruits and still flowering so there were only few that can be harvested.
I loved how our nephew enjoyed the place.
Look at its background, it seems that we're on top of the clouds. The clouds changes quickly. It was clear when we started gathering but few minutes later, it went down and covered the area. There were garden plots with young plants of Chinese cabbage. I could have taken more photos if only we toured earliear but it's improper to leave the other visitors we got acquainted. One thing more, the purpose for the visit was to check on the Aunt not to tour around. 😅 Perhaps we can do it another time.
Anyway, the reason why the aunt called for us immediately is because they butchered a pig and we were given fresh large chunks as her appreciation for our visit. We were surprised but we are thankful for her gesture. That night, we had vegetable and meat at the same time as our viand.
We started to get back home, the engine of the private van we were supposed to ride failed to start. Then a relative came to the rescue, he said perhaps the engine was under a chilled reaction due to the weather. 😅I've no idea about that. Anyway, we arrived home safe.
Thank you for Reading...

Puto Seko
Kaunting karamdaman mo,
laking dalahin sa aking puso.
Sa'kin ay kamatayan,
kung ikaw ay nasasaktan.
Sa iyong unang hakbang,
laking tuwa aking nararamdaman.
Iyong maliit na tinig,
musika sa aking pandinig.
Paborito mo'y puto seko,
laging pinabibili mo.
Minsan aking nakalimutan,
naging bagyo buong kabahayan.
Hatid kita sa iyong eskwela,
sa akin ay nakakapit ka pa,
Kahit ayaw kong ika' y mawalay,
ito'y nararapat para sa ikagaganda ng iyong buhay.
Lahat ng hirap aking susuungin,
lahat ng pasakit handa kong tiisin.
Kahit buhay ko iaalay sa iyo
para sa ikaliligaya mo anak ko.
Magandang asal at ugali
ipinunla sayo nang ika'y batang munti.
Iminulat sa iyo ang takot sa Maykapal,
hanggang sa ika'y nasa wastong gulang.
Ngayong ika'y malaki na,
nagkaroon ng sariling pamilya.
Buhay mo ay sarili mo na,
ako'y maligaya kung saan ka masaya.
Ngunit tila ako'y iyong nakalimutan,
'di ka man lang nagparamdam.
Nalulungkot iyong ina,
sapagkat ika'y lumalayo na.
Minsan ang isang inang tumatanda na,
hinahanap ang yakap ng anak n'ya.
Kung kaya't minsan ika'y pinasyalan,
upang mukha'y masilayan man lang.
Dala ang puto seko,
simpleng handog ko para sa'yo.
Tiyak iyong magustuhan,
gaya ng iyong kabataan.
Tahanan mong magara
Inyong guwardiya ako'y sinalubong niya
Sa akin ang sabi
"Bawal po dito ang pulubi".
Sa aking kaibuturan ako'y nasaktan,
ngunit kinimkim ko na lamang.
Nagpakilala ako,
kako "Ako'y ina ng amo mo."
Sa tarangkahan ako'y nag antay
sabik sa aking anak na nawalay,
Nais na ika'y muling masilayan
kahit saglit man lamang.
Ngunit labis aking lungkot,
Hagulgol aking naulinigan,
kaygaan ng aking katawan.
Nang mga mata ko'y iminulat,
nasa akin mga mata ng lahat.
Bakit anak ako'y iyong iniiyakan?
hindi ba't ako'y iyong kinalimutan?
Ang nais ko lamang ay mayakap ka,
bakit sa'kin ay ipinagkait mo pa?
"Patawad inay" kanyang sambit,

***
Kuya:
Ganito ganyan,
Huwag dito, huwag dyan,
Inay ko rumaratrat nanaman,
Bibig mistula parang "massinggan".
Taynga ko naiirita sa paulit ulit nyOng dada,
Di po ba maaari kayo'y kumalma,
Utos n'yo hinaan ang pagsasalita,
Aba't mistulang may sunog ah!
***
Nanay:
Ay naku lintek! Hinaan ba kamo,?
Kanina pa ako tawag nang tawag sa ngalan mo,
Bakit, ikaw ba may amnessia
Ano't narinig mo ba?
***
Nanay:
Anak ka ng teteng!
Marunong ka palang mahiya?
Akala ko mukha mo naging aspalto na
Di tinatablan ng aking panghihiya!
Kuya:
Nay, pahiram nga palang pera,
Ako' y may paggagamitan muna,
Saka ko babayaran
Pag ako'y nagkapera.
Nanay:
Ano kamo, ika'y uutang?
Kailan mo pa ako binayaran?
Ni sarili mong brief nako! di ka makabili man lang!
Batid ko pang em ML mo nanaman!
***
Ako:
Nay,si kuya laging may kateyks,
Malimit nakikita ko sa labas at nakikipagdeyt.
Huwag ko daw sabihin at ako'y malilinteyk,
Mananatili daw itong aming sikleyt. 🤣🤣🤣
Nanay:
Kita mo't kumikerengkeng ka pa!
Ni di mo alam maghanapbuhay damuho ka!
At kamo hihiram ng pera,
Wala namang ibabayad dahil laging tambay ka!
Kuya:

Thank you @foryoubtc09 for the sponsorship. It came unexpected. I didn't notice it not until I was browsing in my comments section. ❣️
This is Me
This article was adapted from Ruffa when I visited with her's the last time I browsed my readcash account. I found it interesting so I chose to try it.Though this came late I still wanted to publish it.
When I began to open it, It made me remember some of my high school memories. My friends and I used to trade each "slam book". It's likewise one of our passes to become acquainted with our crushes better or the "papansin" mode to stand out enough to be noticed so we let them top off our slam books. We purposely include questions such as what were their likes and dislikes in a woman, we let them describe their crush, something like that. A bit naughty right? Indeed, it works for some of my friends however not for everyone since some of our young men didn't view it seriously.
So this is what I've picked from the link Ruffa shared. **Click Me** https://questionsgems.com/slam-book-questions/#Slam_Book_Questions_2021
You can likewise attempt it if you haven't.
**When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up?**
When I was only a child, I generally liked to watch action films, especially when acted by Jackie Chan, Jet Lee, Van **Damme**, and especially my favorite Swedish actor and martial artist Dolph Lundgren and My favorite Chinese female action character Cynthia Luster.
I additionally love watching Power Ranger. I would imitate power ranger pink (Kimberly) when I'm alone. 😅Action movie genres made me drive to turn into a hero one day. I also dreamed to become a police officer, a warrior, a secret agent, or anything that holds a weapon and saves humankind from villains. When I become more mature, I still have a similar dream to become one of our country's protectors. However, I wasn't able to grab it to reality because I was wedded early.
**If you could go back in time to tell your 16-year-old self something, what would you say?**
If at any point there's a time travel and if I could return to my past I would say, "Howdy, keep an eye out! There's a chance you'll get pregnant when you reach 17". 😂 And If ever I have the chance to correct my past, I would choose to become more firm and won't be rebellious but concentrate on my study instead. That way, I could give my family a better life.
**Did you ever have a crush on your teacher when you were a kid?**
O yes! 😂.But I don't consider myself a child anymore at that moment. That was during high school. It so happened that the private school was I was enrolled was run by a family. The family has 3 handsome sons.
The last child was our CAT commandant. He was the genuine kind. Oh! I recollected him going to our grade school doing arts using colored chalk imitating the characters in a bible storybook at the request of the elementary teachers. I appreciated his crafts at that time and I'm stunned as well and obviously, I admired the artist also. 😁
The second child was our subject educator in Technology and Home Economics. He always gave a long quiz that makes our effort in reviewing our notes more fruitful. But when lazyness strikes, we usually fail.😅 I liked him too however I like his older sibling more. 😁
Now the eldest was our newest subject teacher in science and he was the most agreeable and generally kind. He realizes how to see the value in your works. He was a jolly teacher as well. He became our new CAT commandant when he arrived at our school. I recollected that he had a cellphone that time that I generally get and plays the labyrinth game even without his permission. He was getting used to me sneaking his phone when were all chatting in the canteen or library during free time. It's one of the memories I missed during high school, the strong bonding of the students and their teachers, no malice, just fun. You can even tell them "You're not my crush anymore" after they gave us difficult quizzes. You will hear a burst of loud laughter inside the classroom afterward. It goes with male or female subject teachers or advisers.
My science teacher treated me as a young sister and I treated him the same though I can't prevent having a crush on him, he's just so cute😅. I missed him when we suddenly left the city for good.😔
Anyway, his phone's brand is SIEMENS. It's a cute phone with a black non-slip body cover. When my stepmother attempted to get her first cellphone, I suggested she purchases the same brand, it's color was matching black and yellow-green. That is how I admired my Science teacher so much.😂But, would you believe my stepmom was still using the mobile phone until last year? Indeed, I saw it when she answered a phone call. We had no connection with my **step**mother for how many years after I married yet I was truly astounded when we met again and saw her holding the phone that time. 😲 I simply couldn't say whether it is still functioning until now but I had a strong **feeling**, it's still there.
The second child was our subject educator in Technology and Home Economics. I liked him too however I like his sibling more. 😁
It's simply so troublesome not to like an educator particularly when they have loads of handsomeness. 😅
**What does your latest text message from someone else say?**
Well. Allow me to see...
**Do you sleep with or without clothes on?**
I lay down with my garments on. I even discover it unusual for individuals who rest without their garments on.😂
**Ever had a poem or song written about you?**
I didn't make a poem for me yet I did make one for my firstborn, to my husband, and others.
**Do you have any strange phobias**?
I do. At whatever point I see white dump trucks passing by our road, automatically my heart started to pulsate abnormally. I couldn't say whether you think that it's bizarre, however. It began after a mishap that made my beloved brother die. I had it published in my most recent article.
I'm also afraid of deep water and foggy waters like the large falls.
I can't swim so perhaps that clarifies. It seems to suffocate me when I see one yet I love being in the water.Seems abnormal right?😅
**Ever stuck a foreign object up your nose?**
Various occasions. It generally happens when I unexpectedly laugh while gobbling rice and it stuck up inside my nose.
**What was the last lie you** ****told?****
It was when I told Xzeon I don't have money when she asked me for it yesterday morning. That was when I was going to leave to attend a seminar for livestock training. I usually say it when I'm on a tight budget. She won't understand if I'm going to tell her that I'm going to pay for mortgages and other bills so to make an explanation short though I try telling her sometimes, I just tell her I don't have money.
**Are you happy with the person you’ve become?**
I have no choice but to be happy with the kind of individual I've become. Though I failed a lot, it's not a reason why I won't be happy. By accepting life's misery positively makes a burden easy to deal with.
I can't have the option to continue to a higher level if I convey the negativities carry on with a melancholy sort of life.
**What was your greatest "What if"?**
My greatest what **if** varies from how I see life previously and today. I imagine a scenario in which I'm a well-off person. Where might I utilize my riches? As a child that grew up in poverty, I generally longed for being rich when I was a youngster. I longed for having all that I wanted. I longed for easy life as opposed to doing a task again and again. I wanted to eat all that I wanted to eat and possess a wardrobe with all the unique garments and things for myself from head to toe.
When I grew up, I considered something different. I considered imagining a scenario where there's no word like hate, chaos, fear and insatiability, just love and contentment and no infection and agony. Perhaps, quite possibly there will be no disorder, and no affliction, no Covid-19.
Maybe then, humankind will live a happy life and free to do whatever we wanted to do.
I think that's enough for today... I hope you enjoyed knowing other part of me.

Tragedy
I was with my neighbors having a little chat when a couple of our men unexpectedly ran passing us. The way they ran, I notice that there's something wrong so I shouted at the first man drawing nearer and asked what's the hurry for. The man said there's a vehicular mishap close to our location in the middle of our area and an adjoining barangay. I further asked who's the driver and what vehicle however the man only answered about the location and they passed already. Around then my husband was at home. I immediately rushed to our home and told him about the mishap. He was having his late lunch at **that** point that he immediately left his plate and snatched his bolo and swiftly went out.
It seems like eternal hanging tight for the update. Countless questions in my mind need an answer until recollections returned to my mind...it still marks a tight grip in my heart every time I thought about those awful recollections.
Two valuable individuals in my life met an accident. The other one perished while in God's Grace the other one endured.
The first was my younger brother, our youngest. It was so nice to meet your kin after such countless long years of being away from them, right?
For the individuals who didn't have any acquaintance with me, I am an adopted daughter. An uncle adopted me and brought me to the city in Mindanao and I grew up away from my genuine family. I didn't have a clue about my family history until my adoptive parents told me after I did something inappropriate. At the point when we returned here to our old hometown. I had the chance to meet my youngest brother and our eldest. It felt good. Thinking there is somebody I can call "ADING", (younger brother or sister) and "MANONG" ( older brother).
Lamentably, this younger brother of mine was enticed to take cash from my stepmother's pocket. He fled and we never got an opportunity to see each other again for how many years.
Few years when I got married, he returned to our old neighborhood. I was happy he's back at last. My grandma was so harsh that my brother remained at our home all the more often. He was fond of my two children and played with them each opportunity he dropped by. I recalled that he hunted mushrooms and brought them home. Purchased some groceries sometimes. He even collected firewoods for us for cooking when he should be doing it for our grandmother.
Hardly any long periods of remaining here in our barrio, he figured out how to drive heavy vehicles with the assistance of his friends. He was employed as a dump truck driver of a small-time contractor in our barangay. I remembered that his pass time was on our house playing with his mobile phone and my kids.
In the year 2008, an uproarious alarm cruised by. On the national road that is visible above our locality, I could see groups of local people turned on the engines of their private vehicles and drove in one direction. I had no clue about the thing that was going on. I was about to go to attend a meeting around then. I arrived late and when I showed up at the gathering place, everyone's eyes were on me. I just thought that I just grabbed their attention for being late. I asked somebody next to me who was watching the main road what was going on. Then, at that point abruptly everyone looked at me with surprise. After that, they told me that it was my younger brother! The landfill truck he was driving fell into the side of the road. I felt cold and my feet started to shake. I ran back home without saying anything and spilled out my outcry.
Minutes after, my mother-in-law came and comforted me. Reminding me not to fall into my emotions particularly because I am pregnant. I forgot indeed, I was pregnant with my third child. Mother-in-law prompted me rather go to my grandma's home and assist her with setting up the arrival of the corpse. Words didn't sink into my head. The word corpse became an obscure word to me. I can't simply accept circumstances for what the word meant. I was nearly at my grandma's home when rushes of men conveying my sibling's body were drawing closer. The scene became slow motion suddenly. I can't stand consistently when it was before me. I just drooped close to the pathway until somebody held me up and consoled me once more. It took me few moments to feel good. I attempted to recapture my solidarity and kept on strolling to my objective destination.
At the point when I was there, saw his body lying cold, tears uncontrollably went falling once more. Everything I can do was grip his hands. He got a messed-up nose and a few wounds. According to the rescuers, he was plunged into the water for a long time because the spot he fell was a creek. He was gone. My adored brother was no more. This was the first occasion when I felt torment for a departed love ones.
The next misfortune occurred in the year 2016. One night in January, I can't pursue my sleep. I sent my older children to my mother-in-law's house early because it's the place where they sleep every night. Interestingly since I turned my music on with the end goal for me to rest. It took me few hours before at long last I slept.
A few moments later, I dreamed somebody is calling on my phone. I addressed it however nobody is answering on the other line. I was surprised why my mobile's ringtone didn't stop even though I answered it. At last, it halted. A few moments later again, my phone ringed once more. That was the **m**oment I woke up. I saw my phone playing my call ringtone. It was my spouse's cousin-in-law. I was wondering why she called late around evening time. Then, at that point, she told me to set up my spouse's garments. It offered me an admonition hint in my mind because here in our place, when somebody told you to prepare garments for your loved ones, It implies that they met a mishap or something startling occurred.
Afterward, when the cousin came to get the garments I had arranged, I asked her what happened. She disclosed to me that my husband slipped (a simple word with another meaning I figured later)and should have been brought to the medical clinic. I felt relieved. I thought about the most noticeably terrible thing. I asked her to update me when she gets to the emergency clinic.
The next day, I went to this cousin's home. I was extremely anxious to know what had befallen my husband. At the point when I showed up at their home, another cousin saw me and mentioned to me what good luck my husband had. I was confounded by what he was talking about. Then, he was pointing to the eastward part of our barangay where a recently concrete road was done. Another lane wasn't still accomplished There were rice fields below. It appeared eroded. I looked at it with my brows met trying to figure what was needed to be seen but I can't. The distance was too far. Then the cousin proceeded maybe guessing my confounded thoughts. He said that the dump truck driven by my husband fell into the ricefield below. The unconcreted lane of the road gave way and the truck my husband is driving conveying 500 sacks of cement went down. I couldn't finish paying attention to the cousin's story and I left him hurrying towards the female cousin of my spouse who came to pick his garments in our house last evening. How could she? Why didn't she told me last night? I needed to know the real story with regards to his mishap.
The second I sat down I shot her heaps of inquiries. She disclosed to me the story the male cousin told me. What I missed and didn't know was that my **husband** fractured his right leg. His leg was trapped in the middle of the steering wheel when the truck flipped a couple of times. We're happy that his head wasn't harmed and no more other issues in his body. What fright me more was, what if he didn't survive? What if the truck had smashed him to death?! I thank God, he's alive.
The hospital in our municipality can't proceed with any operation since they weren't the upgraded kind of hospital. So my husband was referred to General Hospital in Baguio city. I realized he was in a most terrible condition. His thigh and legs were swollen and an x-ray showed a broken bone. According to the doctor, there might be a tendency for amputation which my husband disagreed with.
Today he's still working as a driver/operator under the same company. His foot wasn't amputated thank God but he walks uncomfortably unlike before the accident. However I am as yet stressed every time he embarks to work, whenever I heard of any vehicle accident, my heart leaps upon hearing it... Just like what I am talking at the first part of my article.
I saw the damaged mini dump truck when it passed by my area after they pulled it up with great difficulty. It looks like a trampled tent loaded at the back of the large vehicle carrying it. I felt the same cold feeling inside again after looking at the overly damaged truck. Sadly, the driver (victim)was a cousin of mine.😔
With this picture. No no one will stay alive. The truck fell 250 meters below. The driver was still alive when the local respondents reached him but were declared dead on arrival when they tried to bring him to the hospital.
Death doesn't choose its victim and the time he visits. We just need to be prepared for what fate awaits us but it doesn't mean we shouldn't take safety precautions while we live in this cruel world.
Nice rainy afternoon!
Thanks for reading...

One Fine day
The day when I travelled somewhat farther than my little world is so exciting to me. It was the day when along with my husband, his sister with her husband as well, fetched a nephew in Bayombong, Solano, Nueva Viscaya. The kid wants to live and study here in our place this school opening. Her mom abroad called and requested my husband and her brother in law to fetch the kid.
It was sudden because everyone was loose with no arrangement of the day aside from me obviously which there is consistently an arrangement at home like home errands and so on 🤣. The timetable of the fetching was supposedly the following week but since a child's way of thinking is unpredictable, he chose to come earlier, everyone decided to travel that day since my husband was the one in particular who has a driver's licence. He was on vacation that day and the accompanying 2 days so they snatched the opportunity to allow him to drive bound to Nueva Viscaya to get rid of travel issues if at any time there is.
I, on the other hand, inquired as to whether I can come with my youngest, and my spouse concurred. I knew that he realized how much I wanted to go far than my old neighbourhood since I have been tied the whole existence of my marriage just in our place. 🤣So no exhibitions, nothing at all. I made a quick change of clothes after a quick washing because the time is ticking. At any rate, I had my bath last night, so with my baby. 😁 In only a couple of minutes after the affirmation of travel, we hit the road. In my mind,... Finally!
At the point when we are moving toward Banaue, the climate is getting colder since the altitude gets higher. Along with my sister-in-law, we set our children with their sweaters. We passed by Banaue yet we don't have the opportunity to stop for touring as we were focusing to show up at our objective destination the soonest. Hubby guaranteed us that we will do it when we travel back home. We only stopped in some part of Ifugao to have a meal since brother-in-law complained that he's hungry, only to find out none of us has had a decent meal since morning.
We were supposed to enter the orange restaurant above. But I was surprised that we entered the one in the other side of the road, the (green one). When I asked hubby about it, he said that the waitressess immediately halted brother-in-law and quickly invited them inside. Both men can't resist since they don't want to embarass the girls. 🤣 During our meal, husband told me that it's normal in these restaurants that waitresses intercepts in your way if you parked in their side of the road. So I understood that the other restaurant do the same. 😅
As we were moving toward the lowlands I felt the temperature changed. We presently took off our coats, so with our little ones since it's getting warmer.
You know the feeling when you appear to return to memory so long ago but something showed up that causes it to be recalled again? That is the thing that I felt when we arrived at Nueva Viscaya. All the open fields and wide bridges we passed took me back to the recollections of the location I grew up when I was young. There's something in the view that I needed to relish the experience while I appreciate the ride. Everything is the same as my youth encounters.
Sceneries are different from those I find in our province that everywhere are mountains and cliffs.
We arrived at our destination at just about 12 midday. The host of the house kindly prepared us lunch however I was the only one in particular who didn't eat because I was still full and my little girl was complaining since it's excessively hot, she wasn't used to the weather, so we remained outside.
As I was sitting adjacent to the door when I saw a mother washing their laundry near a water pump and her son helping her. The young man went to and fro from their home how many times holding garments and carried them to his mother. He then, fetch water from the little water well for his mother's laundry. I think that it's **cute**. They were still not done yet when we left.
Costs of items in lowlands are far less expensive than prices in our place so we requested our newly fetched nephew to accompany us to the closest retail chain so we can find something to get back with us. He said it was close since it was Sunday that time so he suggested a department store instead. We entered the NOVO department store.
See what I got for my daughter. This simple bicycle costs $60 in our place while it costs $21 in here. The cost significantly increased such a lot of that makes it was so expensive. Beneficial thing, I opposed my husband when he was going to get one with the costly price previously.
From NOVO, we stopped to buy some freshly baked buko pies and buko juice as well. Every relative who happened to travel to Nueva Viscaya would surely bring home their special buko pies for "Pasalubong". It was my first time seeing the place. I thought at first there was only one producer of the pies in that province but as I found out, there were plenty of them aligned alongside the national road. You can pick which stall you wanted to buy your pies. Nowadays, they have added other flavours aside from buko like for example the ube or purple yam, pineapple and buko de Leche, I tasted it when someone from our barrio brought it home. But since our husbands were the ones who bought the pies this time, they only knew buko pie that exists. 🤣
As we continued our travel, we passed by the stalls of watermelons.
I just don't know where exactly this area was but it's part of Ifugao and I can observe that the temperature started to change again. It's getting colder so I assumed we are starting to elevate. I also started to put my jacket on and my daughter as well when we started to continue our travel. Our men bought some big heads of melons and we got another big one for free. It would be a perfect match in the ricefield when we are going to stay under the scorching heat of the sun for a long time harvesting. We ate the free melon while on the road.
Here is the most exciting. As promised, the moment we entered Banaue, we stopped and strolled in the stalls. Sister-in-law and I took time taking pictures and together bought some souvenirs.
Chiselled products are everywhere. These are just some of the carved products from Ifugao which they are known as creative artist.
Here some other things you can use at home aside from decorations.
Excuse me, may I pass. 😅
Now, this is what I got from hubby. A necklace. Perhaps he thought of my wish before during his travels to Banaue. I requested him to buy me a necklace souvenir. I asked him for this design but he doesn't know what I'm talking about so I got nothing. Now, he got it for me. 😇It's even lighter and smaller than the usual one I always saw during festivals in our place.
Few kilometers away from our last stopover. We again dropped by at Diannara Viewdeck. Lots of motorist stopped by in here to take photos with the background. There were also natives available to have photos with you if you want wearing their native attire.
The fogs went down already when we nearly reached our place. It even blocked the road and would be difficult without the fog light. Everybody were tired but no complains heard from anyone.
I am looking forward to visiting these places again one of these days if the weather becomes nicer and hubby gets back home for vacation again. This time, together with my whole family😊.
Thanks for joining me on my travel. Happy reading❣️

Never Have I Ever Challenge
Yesterday as I was reading in Read.Cash, I came across the article of @bmjc98 about her entry on a challenge about "Never Have I Ever ". I got curious and interested as well since it could be a prompt if you don't know what topic you are going to write. So i clicked the link she gave. Link https://randomwordgenerator.com/never-have-i-ever-question.php
I picked from the random words that shows and here it is. From Random Word Generator.
**1.)Never have I ever watched a horror movie.**
Oh! I just love watching horror movies. Many times. When I was a child I used to watch it but everytime I did it, it and left questions hanging in my mind. Is it true? Or were the creatures real? . They seems real specially when the characters are directed well and the actors/actressess performed it well. Until such time that I'm getting older and noticed that the characters I once saw in that horror movie was in another one.(actions or drama movies) It made me curious and puzzled so I asked my dad about it.
Then my dad explained to me that those are just fictions. It was played by camera tricks added with proper make ups, lightings, sound and a perfect act. The characters are human beings like us. He told me that it's not only in horror movies. Every character in a movie plays their individual role. Sometimes they are dead or they are alive in the end of the movie. He convinced me to analyze about it and I did. So since then, my curiosity was answered thanks to my dad.
**2.)Never have I ever created a Facebook account.**
Well, honestly, nI have 2 facebook account. In which I'm glad I did. Guess what? 2 weeks back, My FB automatically logged out. When I tried to log in again, it won't let me. I had my password correct but the system says, there's no account matched with the infos I gave.I tried "Forgot Password".System says they will send a code to my mobile number in order for me to change my password but after how many hours of waiting, no code came. I chose the option that the code would be send to my email but here I was surprised to find a strange email. It was in hotmail.com! I have gmail. This went on for how many days. I searched in google for hours. That's the reason I wasn't able to concentrate on my read and noise when I'm online. I don't want to create another account. I even tried the browser instead of the App. I almost able to let it send code to my mobile number but when I entered the code, it says I must refresh my browser. Unfortunately when I refreshed it, it was gone. When I tried it again, my account went back to zero. I have to face the same issue again.
Fortunately, I found one link that answers my problem. I didn't thought it works but I tried.
Few years back, I had this dummy account with the same phone number in FB. I was planning to use it for an online transaction but I didn't pursue. I opened it and went to the setting and followed the steps I searched in google.I reported my real account. Yes! I reported it but there's this report that could recover your account! Then after clicking the last step and answering the query in the system, I recovered my account!
**3.)Never have I ever Googled my own name**
Well, I just mentioned losing my FB right? Funny but I did googled my own name. But it appeared in a Taiwanese language. Now it appeared in Hindu I think. When I tried to click the translation, it won't let me. So I didn't continue in clicking it. 🤣🤣🤣
Never have I ever told a joke and nobody laughed.
Hmmm. I did told a joke and nobody laughed. It's because when I was joking, I was already laughing. It was so funny that I wasn't able to tell the joke without laughing. So the lesson here is, when you crack a joke, don't laugh. Let the listeners laugh for your joke. Don't spoil it. Anyway, few seconds later after regaining my seriousness, I told it again and like me, my audience went laughing.
**4.)Never have I ever gone out in my pajamas**
I always do but only when I go to the store to buy something. It's no big deal since we are in a community with no issues whether you are in your pajamas roaming around.as long as it's not **daring.**It's better than wearing clothes that shows almost half of your soul. People in here are still not fully modernized. If they saw you wearing shorts that almost shows your underwear, or your cleavage is popping out, you will be criticized to the bones. 🤣
**5.)Never have I ever accidentally mixed up salt and sugar on my food.**
Oh! this happened to me. I was absent-minded when I was about to eat. I already put salt on my viand but after replacing it's cover I opened the container of the sugar and put some in my plate. Never did I know, my eldest daughter and his brother next to him was watching. They thought I was experimenting on my food or it's just normal or a part of new discovery of taste to me.They were surprised when I screamed and ran outside since we don't have sink to spit out the food in my mouth. 🤣
**6.)Never have I ever listened to country music**
I never knew what country music was before. All I knew was music were all the same. Not until I came back here in our hometown. Most people loved country music in here that wherever I go, there's this unussual music that differs from the one I used to listen when I was in the city.
Then my ears were immuned to it that I also loved listening to the kind of music. The only disadvantage was that I was unupdated of the modern songs since I lived permanently in our hometown unaccessible to new songs.
But today, televisions are now accessible. Internets are all over that people in here learned to use mobile phones that it brought them to a new **world**. So they are now open to the outside world as well. 😁 They are becoming familiar with our Filipino and foreign artists and their songs so they are now adapting more modern musics than the country one. Yet it is not absent on the tracks you can find in their list.
I think that's all for today.
I thank the one who initiate this trend. Whoever it was, Thank you. It worked well.
You can try it too. Just click the link above and try the challenge. ❣️
Thanks for your time. 😊

When I need to go.
**WAT-WAT an Igorot dialect for a piece of sliced boiled meat. Others has larger chunks that it seems to fill your plate.**
I was a butcher in Canada when I met Cassie. She's a cousin of one of my Pinoy friends. She lived in a "sosyal" way that's why I don't know why she likes me. Although she's a pure Filipina she can't understand our National language since she grew in Canada. To make the long story short, I took her when I went back to my home country for a vacation.
Then sh*t hits the fan...so hard.
We arrived in Baguio and we stayed there for 2 days.
"Oh babe! , the houses are like on top of each otheeerrrrr like we're in Braziiill! but it's a li'l coldserr, like there's a big eywwwcon blowing, right babe!" she voiced out her observation about Baguio.
"Yes", my short reply. I told her to tone it down because our locals aren't used to her kind of speaking which is so loud.
"Okay baby!" She replied while hugging me in public, (My goodness!)I knew everybody's watching.
We travelled bound to our province and I already told her the way of our life there.
"Yayyyy babe, eyllaviiiiitttt! it's like living in the emezen rainferest right baby love"? I just slowly shook my head.In my thought I just asked myself what on earth have I brought home? 😅
We arrived at our place. Father butchered a pig as a welcome gesture. Cassie doesn't talk much because I warned her so she's like a child having tantrums.
We all sat down for dinner. Of course, it's in a typical cordilleran style of serving. (large chunks of boiled pork meat in the table)
"Dssalin', wazdiz square shapes chunky thingy with black spikes here in my plate? "She asked innocently that made my dad laugh so hard.
" Iha, that is what we call wat-wat. Pork meat boiled tenderly and garnished with the spirits of an-anitos (unseen spirits)". My dad answered her jokingly.
"What's Wat what baaabbbyyy?" In her astonishment, she wants to make sure what is this thing that she's going to eat. "Others called it anger".(a-nger)mom added smiling.
"Yayyy baby, anger should not to be eaten, it should be done on yoga to release it, is the poor piggy angry when they caught and cook it"?shockingly she asked.
I just smiled and told her to eat it. She obeyed picking with her pinky finger raised as she used her hands in scooping her food. She's even good at sipping her soup that has 3-inches pork fat in it.🤣
Sometimes I am annoyed at how artsy she is but most of the time I laughed at her actions.
"Baby? Will she carry you when you sleep? What's the formula of your milk?" Dad once joked at me again.I laughed at his joke.
The first day was fun. We went to my favorite minibar.
"Baby, I wanna drink mojitowww or tsekillaaa" Cassie requested.
"There's no such thing as that in here, drink what's available, and the only available is gin". I told her while giving her the glass with a clear liquid content.
"Yow baaby! Wazdiiiz? watseeer for?" She asked.
"That is magical water to quench Satan's piss. " my only response.
She took the glass and drank it purely. You can't understand the expression on her face. She even shivered after swallowing the white content on her throat.
"Eww! This tastes like gas!" she blurted out. Other drinkers nearby laughed and one of them teased me why I allowed my girlfriend to drink gas but I just kept still.
We drank until we became tipsy. Someone nearby asked if they can table with my GF but I just told them to ask her.
"Hey seksi lede, come come our table we drink happy happy!" one customer said.
"Babe, they are asking you if you wanna join them at their table. " I teased my gf.
"I don't drink with morons!" she shouted at them.
One of them stood and tried to grab my GF's hand but I smacked him. His companions stood to avenge their buddy and all of them fought against me. We were fighting when someone stopped us. It was the barangay tanod. (local guards) I quickly turned to check on my GF to see if she's ok. I'm glad she's ok but I was surprised to find her holding one of her high heels and there's blood in it. I am still dizzy from the punches I received. I observed the men whom I just fought with, had blood on their heads. I realized my GF knows how to fight. She hammered their heads with her heels.😅
We fixed the problem by paying the "multa"(fines) since the guys are the most disadvantaged because their head seems to have a nail hammered to it.😁
Days passed and we are enjoying every bit of our vacation. Mom and Pops were ok with Cassie. They are fond of her despite her being artsy.
I took my GF on a hike on dayuhan . There was this mountain that is good for camping. We spent 3 days camping there. I asked her what can she say about our lives in our province.
"It is weird, unusual, but interesting". She commented. On the last day of camping, we waited for the sunset. We are even hugging each other, later, I took something from my pocket, I bent a knee, and proposed...
*****
" Son, do understand why she declined your proposal. Maybe she was just surprised and wasn't ready. You do know that liberated women think differently". Mom advised me that time while comforting me by rubbing my back.
Our last 3 days in the Philippines I spent drinking. Cassie became silent and cold then.
Going back to Canada, she was still cold. The climate was cold, so was she that it's so tempting to pour her a pot of boiling coffee🙄.
She stayed at her place. She asked me to give her some time and space. What the heck! Why do women when in terms of making men suffer they seem to be like crazy! I gave her a chance though I am hurting inside. I just don't understand why we needed to cool off.
I started having depression. Days become months that my depression worsen. My work was even affected. I became so desperate. I tried to see her but she avoided me.
Until such time that we met, this time, to say goodbye to her. I am going back home. I can't carry my depression anymore. My father advised me to come home too. I followed his advice because I know it's for my own good.
We both shed tears. She asked for my forgiveness but even with how much she hurt me, I chose to forgive her.
We departed. 😔
-The end-
This was published in mixed Ilocano and English from our favorite page in fb with @Z_graeden. It's just I was out of load and not active much with my mobile. Few days back i had no load for three days so I used my time in translating this story instead because I was enjoying the love and comedy of it and wanna share it with you guys.
**Philippines**...
I am just kidding. Here's the continuation... 🤣🤣🤣
I used my savings for a business. I started to run a business in agricultural supply and meat shop enough to keep me sane. Enough to put a portion of food on our table.
It's been almost 2 years that I stayed in our country. I already recovered. Move on? Nah. Not really.
T'was a sunny Sunday morning. I am on my bed having a wonderful sleep when I heard a constant knock on my door. What the heck! I am still having a hangover and I am only in my undies."Wait! I am still wearing my pants on! ". I shouted at whoever Pontius Pilate was on the door.
My heart jumped. "W-hat are you doing here?!?" I was shocked. It was my Cassie! My goodness! she's becoming prettier!
"I travelled halfway around the world for wat-wat!" she replied smiling. She's kinda ecstatic!
My heart skipped again. Then a long talk followed. She explained why she was different during "those" days. She was overwhelmed. She wasn't ready to be tied to marriage yet that time and wanted to enjoy being single. But she admitted she suffered much the way I do and she doesn't want me to disappear in her life.
She insisted that we go back to that mountain, and I granted her request. This time...I was the one who said YES to her proposal.😊
She decided to live with me in our province with all her "kaartehan".

I hope you enjoyed. Thanks for reading. ❣️❣️❣️

My Family Monetary Crisis
6 youngsters, the oldest is in senior high school,2 are in middle school, 2 are in elementary and the youngest will enter preschool on the kickoff of classes. As a mother of six, it's difficult to support them all, but I must, we must together with my husband particularly during this pandemic. Cash isn't free and accessible all over. One should apply exertion to acquire it so there is something served at our dining table. Our head is working hard and I have no complaints regarding how he works. It's just, it was never enough with growing children at home.
Having a family, we need cash to help with our other monetary necessities. We are not from rich or **middle**-class families. So we have a straightforward sort of living and have a simple house that covers our head from the warmth of the sun and the coldness of the night. We depended on crops from a little patch of land we acquire from our folks and now and then from a bit of harvest from others ricefield which we were able to cultivate and share our reward for so much hard work after the crops are harvested. Sometimes, we receive payment from rendering labor on clearing and planting other's ricefields. We likewise develop some animals or livelihood for an additional income. But one must have the capital for the livestock purchase and its food as well. Even in this simple life, we also need a couple of wants and additional necessities aside from our used way of living.
Luckily, we have a mobile phone. The only luxury a poor woman like me can only have. I considered it an extravagance before because it doesn't help in our day by day needs but instead it adds to your burden since you need to consume money before it is valuable. All things considered, my insight currently changed. I'm appreciative because through my mobile phone I found out about Read.cash, Noise.cash and cryptocurrency particularly BCH. It gave me a way to figure out how to earn all alone. So even in a little way, I can be of help to my better half.
You see, when my children are still young, we just utilize a little rice pot in preparing our rice feast. At the point when they grew older, the pot became greater as well. Guardians or children that develop from a big family with a similar circumstance as I am can comprehend what I mean.😅
Somewhat more and those kids are currently getting older. They go to school so they need recompenses. Their educational costs should be paid. They required toll in going to class, they required a boarding house so they will not be returning back and forth because it will require additional time and exertion and it's risky to hang tight for a ride around evening time. My older children need new garments since they are developing and the old ones will not fit any longer, yet no issue for the old ones since they will be asserted by the younger ones automatically😁. The entirety of this implies more costs for us when kids grow up.
My point in babbling in here about my family is that I wanted to share some experiences about the financial crisis where we encountered before we get to this another stage of parenthood. My husband and I had faced a lot of ups and downs that sometimes thinking about it seem impossible to bear. We will just say to one another, "I can't imagine those times" and then we both laugh.
Here are the challenges we confronted regarding the financial crisis before. Though these were past experiences, it has something valuable lessons we can still learn until now.
**The beginning of having debts:**
***Sickness***
I can't foresee when does illnesses or diseases assault however we can forestall it by eating nutritious food sources and appropriate cleanliness, still, there are a few occurrences that our safe framework brings down unseen. **Y**oung couples like us were less knowledgeable at those moments. That is the point at which a member of my family was struck by ailment and sicknesses which over-the-counter medications can't battle. It needs hospitalization and obviously, cash. We are not properly secured with any insurance or any savings for unexpected situations. Since my husband was jobless, we had no real option except to loan cash from family members or friends.
Tragically, when these nearby people whom we realize we can rush to have a limited financial income as well, or perhaps they doubted our capability to pay that's why they don't give us something. So, we needed to loan from people that loans cash with an interest. Having no way out, we grabbed it***. Having no stable job and fix the source of income, you will surely experience issues in paying an obligation that continues to increment when left unpaid and neglected***. That is one financial problem we encountered.
I'm happy there is Philhealth or Philippine Health Insurance that assists Filipinos in lessening their burdens in regards to hospitalization. I will not be stressed when something sudden affliction will strike my family once more. Yet, I am not appealing to God for that, I am additionally appreciative that my family endure the earlier year of the pandemic and the previous few years.
***Micro Finance***
There was this microfinance loaning organization that came to our barangay and acquainted this loaning of capital with us for a business fire up. Concerning me, I am new and uninformed regarding business. I was likewise young then, might be at 20 and I am not **used** to any business before after early pregnancy and marriage. I just remained in the four corners of my husband's parent's home. Yet, I got the offer with my husband's concern and I became a member of the said microfinance. I utilized the capital in selling home-cooked foods like lumpia, turon and different bites, yet later I understood that ***when you are not prepared and not completely prepared in dealing with a business, you will fall flat.***
At whatever point something is inadequate in our kitchen and no pay from hubby we need to turn to the supposed gain of my small business. It proceeds until the capital was affected until it was left to nothing. At the point when the due payment of the said microfinance came, we don't have anything to give and would again credit cash from loaning people with interest.
We were able to survive 3 years in that institution but we decided with my husband to waive as a member because we are embarrassed whenever the due date came and I have nothing to pay and my fellow members came to our house and insist we should pay our loan like criminals that should go to jail. Good thing, one of them paid it for us, she felt pity that we were young at that time and she knows that hubby has no permanent job. Where would we get money to pay the loan at that very moment? We were able to pay her back then, thanks to God. I never joined ever again even other groups from the same institution come and invites me to join.
***Hulugan***
It's anything but a term utilized at whatever point there is an item that is being purchased on an instalment basis. It can likewise be of money as well if you loaned something and you need to pay for it gradually.
Since we are a young couple, with the absence of things required in a house, even a nice pot we can't bear to purchase. What a shame to think of it once more. 🙄Because we can't stand to purchase in full cash, we engaged with *hulugan* or instalment when few lowlanders come and ventured their items in our place. Yet, it's a detriment that the price is more costly when contrasted with cash basis. The venturer includes his costs in returning back and forth to collect for the instalment payment of his item including the mode of payment if how long are we going to pay.
If ever you encountered businessmen like that, they are just being wise not to lose from their business.
So if you need to purchase something, attempt to save money for it and get it in full cash , not on portion. You will learn you can even purchase twofold of the item in the case that you summarize all you have paid. But if it's difficult to produce an amount for the item or product you want, like for instance you want to buy a car an an installment basis. Make sure to choose lesser length of months or year to pay for it. It's price is higher if the time length of its payment is longer.
***Rent***
Have you experience, renting? house rent I mean? I bet some you experience it. We experienced renting before. It grabs the budget intended for food and other necessities. Sometimes, we paid late and I have to pay in lump sum covering how many months of unpaid rent. Every time I hand out the money it's so difficult to pull from our pocket. We realized that as much as we could, ***we have to pay our rent monthly so that we won't be having difficulty paying it. It's easier to pull a lesser amount from one's pocket than a large sum.***
One thing more, we had mutual trust with the landlady that we don't need receipts whenever I paid our rent. It happened one time that the landlady came to ask for our rent again even though I just submitted it to her and it covers for 3 months. I kept explaining to her that it was already paid but she insisted it's not. Later I learned that she was starting to suffer memory impairment or dementia. Fortunately, I have a neighbour who witnessed the time I paid our rent so the issue was solved. It would be a big issue if there weren't any witnesses. Lesson learned that ***in any transactions regarding money, a receipt is a must. There is no term as mutual trust when it comes to money.***
Today, I don't say that we are free from debt. But learning from past experiences. We have been able to find ways to save for emergencies. We are still engaged in microfinance but we chose the one that gives us benefits. Join insurance that you can benefit while you are alive and not only when you die. How can you benefit when you are 6 feet below the ground already? Now, We were able to join a cooperative so that if we want to loan cash, it would be from our own money with a little interest while expecting an annual dividend from your share capital as well.
Regarding rentals, we are not renting anymore, though our house is not fully furnished and needs a lot of improvement because it's just a lil' better than a pigpen at least we can call it our own.
I think this is much too long so I will be ending in here. I will be sharing in the next article if time permits.
Thank you for reading.

One Fine Day
As I was serving customers who wanted to quench their thirst and feed their tummies for long hours of work, there were this group of people who came as one of my customers. I have learned that they were the usual customers even before I arrived at my workplace.
They were employees from DPWH (Department of Public Works and Highways). I hope anyone of you from the Philippines is familiar with this agency.
The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) is one of the three departments of the government undertaking major infrastructure projects. The DPWH is mandated to undertake:
(a) the planning of infrastructures, such as national roads and bridges, flood control, water resources projects and other public works, and
(b) the design, construction, and maintenance of national roads and bridges, and major flood control systems.
If you noticed your locations, there were parts of your place that was beautifully improved especially alongside public roads. It was implemented in the entire country.DPWH are responsible for the beautifications.
A few months back I noticed the changes and the non-stop workloads of the employees of DPWH when I passed by the road going to town every time I had a visit to town proper. In the partnership of our local engineering offices, they all worked together to come up with their creativity for this project.
One time my youngest and I went for a walk. That was the time when all my kids went swimming with some of our distant relatives and I didn't allow them to bring my youngest because she was having a mild cough and I know this daughter of mine can't be controlled when we're talking about swimming.
I longed to visit the location which starts a hundred meters away from my working place out of curiosity but I just don't have the time. I started to work early and retire nearly dark so, this time, the moment I had the chance, I took it as an opportunity to stroll. I left my eldest for the watch and together with my little companion, we started to stroll.
I learned that the newly improved enhancement was an entry to a contest in our province. A contest in which the partnership of DPWH and MPFDEO department showcased their talents in landscaping in the beautification project. The aim is to provide **healthy** sceneries for travellers when passing by. It includes the individuals who like strolling, jogging, cycling or just mere passerby's.
From our barangay going to town, you will see the logo of DPWH and RROW (Road Right-of Way) in bright orange paint. They have placed a semi cottage without a roof and two painted faceless board images of a man and woman in a native costume as the main attraction where you can have a shot behind for photography lovers.
The DSWD staff mixed their landscaping with recycled products and different plants to come up with a more inviting view. Some of the green plastic bottles were from the school where my children were enrolled which was located just above the national road. It was supposedly the student's project for landscaping in their school but due to the pandemic, it was unaccomplished. Some bottles were from the snack house I am working. See how it glows against the rays of the sun.
My little girl wants to stroll even under the scorching heat of the sun. She wants to see Mother Mary as she calls it. She saw it in one **of** her older sister's galleries on her phone a few days back and she said she wanted to go there too so here we are to grant her wish😊.
We first encountered this huge bicycle on our way to our destination. In here you need to climb on top to reach the seat.
As we came nearer, we saw this bullfrog staring its huge eyes at us at the foot of the bicycle. 😁
A giant fiber plant was so proud on its spot. Even if I stand, I couldn't match its height. I never saw something like this before. Maybe the DSWD staff has looked for this in a particular area. We have this one in our place but not big as this one. Perhaps the timely trimming of its leaves was the reason why it didn't reach its gigantic size.
We passed by the hut or picnic area few meters away from the bike but because my daughter has something in her mind, I decided we will come back to it later. So we marched a little further and reached where the grotto was located.
We stayed a little longer, then we walked back to the hut we passed few minutes back. A children's recreational area was constructed near the hut. A large sewage was put up and a single and family swing was an additional attraction in the area.
The hut was part of a picnic area or we call it ( Panganan ) in our dialect which is located on the top part of a small mount and the other one below but because someone was occupying it, we didn't continue approaching that part.
We were just contented by the swing and walking around the picnic area. My daughter was enjoying it and ran from one place to another. She saw painted rocks that formed a caterpillar that she wanted to take it home🤣🤣🤣. She even tried to remove it from the concrete.
We saw a pair of a mother and it's baby frog again. Maybe it's the daddy we saw near the bike😁.
A creative pot in which I thought a concrete one but I found out It was made of plastic bottles as I came closer!
Now here's what surprised me the first time I saw it, but I laughed later after realizing it's not anything alive. A half-bodied guardian of the mini-park. Maybe the owner of these jeans has an XL size😁.
Seems DSWD staffs put a lot of effort in these project. Though it's not as best as you saw in your parks, we considered this the best in our place already since we don't have any park. The aim is not for the prize of the project only but the improvement and enhancement of our roads thanks to them. I just hope, certified plantitas and plantitos won't damage the flowers whenever they visit our park rather, they should help in maintaining it so with other visitors as well.
Time to get back to the base.😊
To our travellers, riders and drivers, Drive Safely to reach home alive.
It's been so long fellas.😊

I am not Free
**Freedom is Freedom not.**
I recollect these words when I asked their importance to my father a very long time ago. That was the point at which he was as yet alive. It was our homework in 4th grade in school. "Freedom is Freedom not" . At the point when I let him explained it, he disclosed to me that yes FREEDOM is the capacity where you can do what you like to do unreservedly. We all know that, however, it has further significance one should consider that Freedom doesn't mean we can do all that we wanted.
How about we see, for instance, we are allowed to live however we are not allowed to have food sources without applying exertion and sweat. We are free however we are not permitted to take food from others or steal them.
We are allowed to love however we are not permitted to adore somebody that has a place with another person or owned by someone else.
We are allowed to have anything we need yet we are not permitted to get whatever we want with another owner has it except if you have its authorization or else use force to have it which isn't right. Or you need permission first before acquiring it.
One thing, father referred something which made me nearly burst out my hidden feeling when he disclosed to me that children were the most fortunate individual on the planet. They don't have the foggiest idea of what the world is languishing. They don't have the foggiest idea of what is dread, they don't have a clue what our world is facing and what are its problems or what is being implied by wars. They only knew rest, eat and play. They are brimming with honesty that other individuals wished to turn into a child again to escape the real world we are living right now.
Those are the examples I gained from my late dad. Presently it runs back to my psyche however I failed to remember different examples he gave but he always reminded me, freedom is freedom not in any way.
My point is, he has no clue about what his little girl is experiencing being bound in his own home without him knowing. That I am as yet a youngster who wished to have independence from his wife's iron-grasp hands that choked me out the moment I gained knowledge about freedom.
A house is where you needed to return to in any event, even when you are in a distant location. It is so great to remain at home particularly on occasions when you are stressed and down. There's a family that you yearned to be with when you are away from home. But...it doesn't apply in my situation.
I was a victim of child abuse.I am not free as achild should be. This term I haven't known during my youth. I was restricted in a house loaded with fear. A house you won't ever envision returning to when you are away. A house I can never call home.
I always fear committing mistakes that in everything I do, I am not confident if I did it right. My stepmother is a very strict person and a perfectionist as well. Whenever I commit mistakes, I expect punishment from her. Her character tainted my innocence that I never enjoyed my childhood. I can't play outside because she doesn't want my clothes to get soiled. So when I am in school, I spent my time playing after school to the fullest that I forgot I have a terror tiger at home.
Before returning home, I would check my uniform first for dirt and would wet my handkerchief and request a schoolmate to wipe it out for me. I washed my face to wipe away hints of sweat from my past brief satisfaction. My stepmom doesn't want any children in the house as well, so at whatever point some neighbours needed to play with me, she would shoo them away and disclosed to them I am busy studying or I am having a nap when in fact, she would let me pull her white hairs until she slept off. I, on the other hand, would curl in the corner of our room or find old papers and would fulfil myself in reading, drawing or jotting something on void pages with overwhelming sadness yearning to be outside.
My fear took my full confidence. During the main quarter in school. I need to manage heaps of pushing from my friends and instructor before I can stand up my thought. That was during my 1st grade. I never experienced being in preschool or kindergarten because my stepmom wouldn't consent to certain prerequisites required for a preschooler. Luckily, the school was not strict before. You can enter elementary 1st grade without requiring the pre-schooler stage. My adviser saw that I am a timid child yet I can do well scholastically. Quarterly the teachers give feedbacks to guardians and as one of her observation and told my stepmom regarding me being a bashful one which she doesn't realize she has done a wrong move!. After stepmom was summoned to our school and was disclosed to I had brains and would dominate in class if just I would partake in oral exercises. After a break, stepmom cornered me in our comfortable room and pinched me on hidden parts of my body. I cried quietly so as not to catch attention and would make her mad even more. She cautioned me that I am expecting punishment when I get back home. Do you think a kid wanted to return home after that? I didn't want the class to end after the conversation. When the class resumed, the possibility of returning home hinder me and would make butterflies in my stomach that I wanted to melt and disappear so that I won't be facing terrible and painful punishment at home.
There were times that I wet in bed around evening time at an age where most children don't. I understood nowadays that it was the reason for outrageous fear as a youngster that even in dreams I dreamed of committing mistakes and being punished for it. Yes, it became my nightmare. And it added fire to my stepmoms hatred over me. No matter how I tried not to wet, it seems I was played by an invisible demon that I always happen to test my stepmom's anger.
At the point when I grew up as a teenager, I generally envisioned carrying on with a day to day existence where nobody will order me to do what I ought to do. I wanted to live alone and nobody would command me to get up right on time, no obligations, no issues, fears and so on. That is a product of a simple youngster's minds as it were. The reason? This is because I didn't make the most of my youth so I am wanting a fresher climate and another sort of life. Never did I understand what lies ahead.I am looking for freedom.
In the current circumstance, I have come to understand a lot of things. Even though there was nobody to command me to get up ahead of schedule, I am obliged to do it. Being in bed for a long time would make my kids cry for there was no food being ready, or husband would missed breakfast or coffee before starting for work. I must take care of them. In any case, the duty I know would carry happiness to my family. I was fastened to that obligation however I am happily doing it and there's no fear in doing my tasks.
I realize that there's this one thing that gives me a cutoff in doing what I wanted today. I'm married. I am not still free. This keeps me from doing the standard thing that I used to do when I am single. I have kids who need my consideration instead of other stuff. In times that I needed to purchase something for myself, I need to think about my children first. In all that I do, I generally consider them first. This is the sort of loss of freedom that attaches a wedded individual to an obligation.
Well, as for your info, I married not with love but by rebellion and temporary freedom from my foster parent's eyes and longing to gain freedom. That was the time when they brought me back in our hometown to my paternal grandma's house and they left me in her custody. They stayed far from me for the first time in my whole life. All those time, I thought I can now do everything I want but unfortunately, grandma is strict too. 😅What a bad luck. She doesn't want me to go out with my classmates at night especially when we have group works, she believed we are all telling lies😁.
Then, at that point, I found a friend, a man I found to recount my accounts. We have a similar fate, he was additionally had a troublesome father. I never figured he would turn into becoming my husband since I just considered him as a brother not until I was being suspected of having an unsanctioned romance with him and did the "couples thing" when in fact I was with him for close to 1 year and we didn't take part in that personal business. Until I lost in an idea where getting married would liberate me from under the psychological warfare of my guardians. I didn't realize I was wrong rather it would attach me to a more noteworthy obligation forever.
So to all singles in here be careful in finding your partners for life. Choose the one who fears God and would respect your parents and treat them as their own aside from the mans' financial stability. Don't follow the path I took that I mistook freedom as an opportunity to get free of a previous calvary and treated rebellion as a friend.
Concerning me, however, I was adhered to an unexpected duty and lost my freedom, still, I held fast, and tried to be the best spouse and mother to my children and learned to love everything. It made everything easier because the more I resist and cry over the failure I made, it makes everything more difficult.
Happy Independence day everyone!

The day my son had his circumcision
*The act of circumcising; especially: the cutting off of the foreskin of males that is practised as a religious rite by Jews and Muslims and by others as a social custom or for potential health benefits (such as improved hygiene)* Merriam-Webster
In the Philippines, circumcision is called TULI in Tagalog while we call it "hegyat" in our vernacular language. It is said that circumcision is a door into adulthood among males. I remember throughout the summer season is here when various groups from different organization visit our barrio to conduct free medical missions. It incorporates free medical check-up with free vitamins and medicines, free dental and free circumcision. As the days go by, medical missions were held in our town in Bontoc during Lang-ay Festival. A festival where different municipality gathers to celebrate our culture.
A year ago and this current year was different since the pandemic has influenced our nation, any type of mass social affair is disallowed to guarantee the wellbeing of all people from the Covid-19 infection. From that moment, a mother like me in our barrio are being concerned since it will cost nearly $50 charge when we visit private clinics for circumcision and $5 or more for dental expenses aside from doctors fee. Even though there are local people who can do the job I can't guarantee the safety of my children if at any time there's a risk.
Luckily, when I got back home a week ago, I was surprised to learn from my oldest son that there were youngsters from our local area who has gotten down to the hospital and has undergone circumcision along with their folks and guardian. My son suggested that I should allow my youngest son to get circumcised too yet somewhere inside I needed my child to choose if he wanted to get circumcised or not. Anyway, he is still so young l thought, I would prefer not to force him or any of my children to be circumcised because it may cause them a phobia of getting hurt. I realize that eventually, they will decide sooner particularly when they will be bullied by the individuals who are now finished with the interaction of circumcision and will call them "kuyyop" or "Support" in Tagalog when they knew someone who hasn't been circumcised🤣.
A parent may realize that having a son is different from having a daughter. The contrast in requirements and consideration when they grow up. There are conditions like these that you need to help and deal with them when you arrive at the phase when they turn into a man and a lady.
I was inspired to compose this subject when my youngest child was circumcised a couple of days back. However, due to busy days, I just completed it today since I posted my past most recent article rather than this one.
Certainly, I wasn't there during my eldest son's most significant day since they were on holiday with one of their cousins in the other province. I didn't realize he was circumcised not until his auntie, my sister-in-law called and enlightened me regarding it. Happily, she was there to wash their new cut and would remind their medication consistently. When he came home, he was excited to tell me that he was circumcised at last. We have been scheduling him for circumcision a lot of times but it was always postponed due to unexpected happenings or unavailability of the practitioner.
During my second child's circumcision, he requested my authorization first if I will permit him if he needs himself circumcised in our locality. This kid is so much manly that occasionally he was mistaken as a rogue😅. I doubted at first however after he told me that a lowlander or Ilocano that came to live in our locality as a carpenter was the one he wanted to do the job and finding out about how he knew well about circumcision, I permitted it. He even accompanied my son into our home since I can't go with them because they will do the process in the river. He gathered young guava leaves and pieces of cloth that he cut and showed me how to do the replacing of the dressing and the washing of the cut of my child. So that was my first ideal opportunity to encounter washing my child's jewel😁.
The most recent experience was with my youngest son a couple of days ago that sadly, I wasn't available because we have a bustling day around in my working place. I planned our visit to the hospital the following day however my son was excessively excited thus not to ruin his excitement and upon the idea of his older brother that he would be the one to accompany him to the hospital since he needed to buy a new belt for himself, I let them go.
When I am in my working place I was so restless and was so eager to know how was it going. My youngest boy was the youngest among my sons who were to be circumcised at the age of 7 running 8 this July that I am worried about his reactions if they get to the hospital. Now I am regretting why I allowed them to go. I am glad that fortunately it went well and they only have an issue on who was going to sign as guardian since my eldest son is still a minor. Luckily my husband's brother-in-law was there to accompany his son so he was the one who signed the form as a guardian. He was even so generous to treat our kids for a meal and paid for it. Likewise with the fare until they all arrived back home safely. I am fully thankful for his deeds. It was a fruit of being good to them also especially during planting season that I always helped them in planting in their ricefield without asking for labour. Now I know that it was one way of repaying the kindness we were showing with each others family.
When I got home I approached my boy how was he and he replied he's ok. His dad called a few minutes later and wanted to see our son's picture only to find out that he is wearing his dad's favourite shirt.🤣
I saw the stitches in my kid's skin the next day. I never saw one since it's locally done during my second child's circumcision. I attempted to wash it with guava leaves boiled in water with salt for quick recuperating. He cried when we attempted to eliminate the dressing since it adhered to his skin and it's really difficult if we force to remove it, so we sprinkled water on the gauze first so it will be drenched before attempting to remove it. I expected his response since he was still young, unlike his older siblings who hold down their tears when there's a pain because they thought of themselves as big boys already. 😅
I left for work afterwards. The following days when mostly the kids are still in bed when I leave the house, it was his older brother who washed my youngest child's. wounds. I only have to remind him of the medicine his brother should take after waking up. At this moment the wounds dried up but the birdie of my son is still a bit swollen. My son wanted to wear pants already but I didn't allow it.
That's all for today.
Thanks for passing by.❤

A Birthday gift despite of this Pandemic
**Thursday, May 13, though it was previously announced, I was still surprised by the public announcement of one of our generous giver here in Read. Cash., @leejhen**
She announced in one of her article that she was extending her project.
There was this project wherein she is giving away 20 dollars worth of BCH to moms or aunts or anyone in the family with children or nephews and nieces as her beneficiary. The amount converted to cash would be bought for any goods the beneficiary wanted to buy it. Isn't it amazing?
The pre-announcement started when I message her in telegram without introducing myself and she thought I was a spammer since I have another username in telegram 😅. I was supposed to borrow at least $2 worth of BNB to make a transaction in pancake swap to withdraw my retired vault with BCH. But since she doesn't know me, she entertained me less in which I understood. Even I, won't entertain a stranger that suddenly popped up in my telegram loaning crypto from me. 🤣
Fortunately, there's @Eirolfeam2 who saved my day after posting it in noise. cash. Still, I know that if I introduced myself properly, leejhen would treat me better 😁 So, when she learned it was me, she regretfully thought back 😅 and as a consolation, she included my children as her beneficiary in her project in which she finally announced during my birthday! What a gift!. 😊
May 15, I received the gifted cash in my COINS.PH wallet after sending my BCH address to @Leejhen.That time the crypto was still green but it was showing a sign of dip but I thought it would be up again eventually. That day and the following I was so busy. I can't go to town.
In this time of writing, it was my fourth week in my sideline job in a meal/snack haus in our area. A former neighbour asked for my service to watch her business while she goes to work. I was supposed to work Monday and Tuesday only because it was the day where her daughter together with mine were going to submit their modules in their school. The following days would be their turn to watch the snackhaus. But on the second whole week, my boss fully left the snackhaus in my responsibility because she has to attend a wedding in her hometown. The following week again, she similarly requested me during weekdays so I have to work additional more days in the snack has aside from Monday's and Tuesdays.
So what I did to accomplish and spend the grant received from leejhen was withdrawing the converted BCH to peso in my bank account and gave my Savings Card to my eldest daughter that day, she was to submit her module to school and I taught her how to withdraw the money from the machine in town. I gave her the list of goods to buy from the money she's about to withdraw.
The list of products was in the image above. A family of 8 will be satisfied with e food items already. The idea came up when there was one time that my children asked what I am selling in the snackhaus. When I told them this and that, they requested me to brought them the same of those snacks I am serving to my customers. I can't grant their request since the snacks are paid individually and it's more pricey compared to buying per pack. Burger worth 45 pesos/pc, almost 1 USD while siopao worth 35/piece (large), while 25php/pc the small sizes like the one my daughter bought. I promised them that I am going to buy it in town one day and I will be preparing it at home. Fortunately, after few days, leejhen announced an extension of her project and my kids were included! What a perfect timing!
So, since I can't go to town, I relied on everything to my eldest daughter. I just instructed her to take pictures of the goods when she arrived home because I know that some of the bought items won't wait for me. 😅 I never forget to include Yakult and Chuckie as you can see because it's my little darling Xzeon's favourite and her siblings too!
When I arrived home, as expected everyone is waiting for me to prepare the burger and the siopao.😅 They were excited for it to be cooked. We cooked the siopao first because we don't have a refrigerator for storing. It contains 24 pieces so it was satisfactorily filled my childrens tummy.
I prepared the burger the following day before I went to work. It served as our bread paired with coffee early in the morning. My young man helped me in preparing it because he knew I had to leave again early.
I wasn't able to take a photo of the other two of my children because they were still in bed when the preparation of the burger was done and they were not still at home when I arrived until I fully prepared the siopao.I have to leave early the following day but as I expected they were both happy when they woke up. All of them were contented.
One of them keeps asking where did I get the money from when they know that their daddy didn't have his salary yet. Then I answered them that it came from a generous Tita from readcash. My family knew about my activity in read. cash and noise. cash so they have an idea what I am talking about.
You will only find few people who are generous enough to share their blessings with others. I appreciate the generosity @leejhen is demonstrating. It brought smiles to the children even in a brief period only.In addition to that, it is a great way to spread BCH awareness.I just wish that the blessings will come back to leejhen a hundredfold. Likewise to other generous users here in read.Cash, I wish you the same.
Thanks for stopping by. 💕

Science or Magic
It's been a while since my absence.✌ And here I just popped in. Please bear with me.😅
Do you believe in **sorcery**, divination, mediums and other occurrences wherein just a couple of people could get it?
Wizardry is the utilization of convictions, ceremonies or activities utilized in the conviction that they can curb or control characteristic or heavenly creatures and powers. It is a classification into which have been set different convictions and practices here and there thought to be independent of both religion and science.
Sorcery is an otherworldly force or the capacity to utilize extraordinary forces—black magic or wizardry. The word sorcery regularly (however not generally) alludes to alleged dark sorcery—wizardry utilized for malicious purposes.
I was with my sister-parents in law's house yesterday when we went to a point where we discussed witchcraft. I knew her story two years ago.
She was pregnant with her fifth baby. They were living in the spot of her husband working place situated in a mining organization and possibly come when they considered visiting in our barrio.
In her fourth month of pregnancy, she felt something else. Her skin shading changes that she turned dark. Her eyes were empty with dark circles. From the start, she thought it was a piece of her prenatal period. ( Paglilihi). She tried to consult a physician but they can't explain either. They just said maybe it's part of her pregnancy but she believes there is something wrong.
Once she was advised by her neighbour to search for a medium since she looked different. A medium was said who can **see** whether you are being played by unanticipated spirits and toss stunts on you. There are mediums in our barrio additionally however they just cast away spells from spirits who ended up making an individual have infection not at all like from different barrios in which they have more profound abilities.
After few days of giving it a thought. My sister-in-law chooses to notice her neighbours exhortation. She went to look for a medium and discovered one closest to their home. She was then told undoubtedly that somebody was applying her an insidious enchantment.
At the point when I heard those accounts from my mother in law. I was a bit perplexed. I am somewhat of an individual that doesn't accept ouch kind because maybe I just trust in things that I see first before I believe.
Indeed, the medium where sister approached advised her to discover the sorcerer to counter assault the spell or find another sorcerer who knows how to counter-spell.
There was this one lady in our barangay who was believed to be a medium. She is also known to see dead spirits visiting or she has a third eye and she can even converse with them. My sister in law sent my mother-in-law toward this local medium. Coincidentally, she can discover flaws in you by looking at your photograph. So mother-in-law acquired a photo of sister-in-law to the medium yet same as what the medium in my sisters place, their perception was something similar.
As indicated by my sister in law, she was advised that the abhorrent spell must be lifted in case that somebody can track down the person who played out the spell and counter-spell the caster.
The medium here in our locality can only find indistinct images in their vision of who was being responsible for the spell. Even their identity we're also indistinct so there are slight pieces of information only the medium can provide.
Fortunately, one of our local people knew somebody who can counter-spell black magic yet it was situated far away from our area. It could require long hours of travel before showing up at the destination. I am happy there is no sorcerer in our place, there are some who experience being cast with sorcery when we travel to different locations. The bases are envy and insecurities. You may be been desirous of your excellence, or actions. So at whatever point we travel, our elders have instructed us to bring the "humang". A specific extraordinary bark of a tree. Our elders accepted that it can shield us from different groups of people's evil eyes. I tasted it once and it's so bitter when I had constipation. It's so hard that it is so difficult to scrape so I used a sharp blade to scrape it and blend it with lukewarm water. I forgot if it's effective though🤣.
I recollected when I need to travel away during high school for a workshop. I was searching for my grandma during the hour of my departure since I need to request my allowance. She came hustling then with the humang and slid it in my travelling bag. I don't have a clue what was that previously. 😅
So back to the topic, since sister-in-law can't travel, other few individuals made a go to the sorcerer's place. That incorporates, our local medium and its company who knew the area along with mother-in-law.
The strangest encounter...
After arriving at their destination, they need to walk few meters from the central part of the barangay. Sorcerers lived alone in these areas. I heard even in another part of the close-by area. Even they have a family, it's not useful for them to live with their family members because any black magic they do, the impact would redirect to any of them.
Just a couple of individuals can get inside the **sorcerer's** house. It was made of a shack. So simple, unusual and little. One may be reluctant to enter around evening time. It has heaps of spider webs and the environmental factors were not appropriately tended. The house shows continuous utilization of firewoods because the under rooftops are completely dark.
Our local medium knocked at the magician's house to let somebody inside realize that there is an individual outside the house. "Apo, may kami man."
It was replied by a croaking voice. "Umuneg" was the solitary answer that signifies "Enter".
True to form when our medium entered, she has invited with a dark environment that solitary the fire made the room slightly bright. An elderly person was sitting in front of the fire. A little pot rather than a huge wok as I envisioned during my childhood was on the fireplace. Is it rice or a viand, our medium doesn't have the foggiest idea? Various skulls of animal creatures hanging over the chimney attached with dried rattan. Grouped bottles bathed with soots with obscure substance was aligned in the room. Some were hanged while others were on the mud floor. The room fits for 2 people just since it just has limited space only for a sleeping area for one person, the fireplace and a little space in front of the fireplace.
After a slight perception around the shack, our medium moved toward the magician and sat next to her in an old unchopped log.
Our medium was asked what was her concern about. In this way, our medium was attempting to clarify the issue and simultaneously bribing off the magician with patupat (glutinous rice blended in with coconut milk) and few kilos of sugar with cash worth 3 thousand pesos or about $60 from a sister-in-law.
From the start, the appearance of the sorcerer isn't much noticeable because she is facing the fire, however as she went to turn to face our medium she felt goosebumps that she can't explain. At the point when the sorcerer receives the cash, she suddenly said, "You are one of us".She just slightly touched our mediums hand however as she expressed the words, she was so certain. Our medium attempted to deny yet the old sorcerer with eyes appears to be visually impaired given more whites than nearly covered its retina met hers.
Our medium was pretty sure that the old woman felt it through our mediums hands so she can't deny it any longer.
The sorcerer at that point confronted the fire and took something in a "popping" a little basket with a cover and tossed something in the fire that made it crackle. She at that point made a short chant and told our medium it is done.
The moment our medium got outside the shack, she felt terrible. Her legs shaking she doesn't have a clue why, when she felt normal when she was inside. She admitted that it was her first encounter with a sorcerer. They returned home after that.
After a week, sister-in-law improved. Her colour went back to normal and her state too.
Either there's a connection between the sorcerers magic or there's any scientific explanation to the situation I think will believe the scientific one. 😅

Grants vs Hard-earned Money
Recently I attended a program in our barangay in which 3 more barangays came to join in. This was the arrival of our compensation from TUPAD which represents (Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers. For the individuals who don't have the foggiest idea, there is a program from DOLE in the Philippines that gives temporary work from the local community that was affected by ECQ. It is community- based and you don't need to leave your place to achieve the assignments. You can apply in your Municipal Capitol or the Provincial Capitol. TUPAD Program from DOLE contrasts from dole out which alludes to free basic food items given to residents during the pandemic lockdown.
I posted my earning in noise yesterday.
What I like about it is you need to work at any rate 4 hours per day locally. This resembles offering back the blessing by aiding in the support of the cleanliness of your neighborhood for few hours. It doesn't expect you to work 8 hours or the entire day to achieve your assignment.
There is this another 2 projects from the public authority through DSWD - (Department of Social Welfare and Development)4p's, which represents Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program, allowing Filipinos from the least fortunate of the poor a money appropriation in the state of monitoring of 3 kids for each family and through Family Development Sessions Monthly. School records are vital for the recipients. It doesn't make any difference if your child is an honor student however your child's participation in school is an unquestionable requirement.
LISTAHANAN is another branch program of DSWD which is unconditional. Money is gotten yearly which adding up to 300/month. They don't have monitoring and meetings.
For what reason did I specify the two projects beside what I referenced from the start?
The contrast between the 3 projects is that you need to work for the cash from TUPAD.If just 4p's will be given equivalent to TUPAD so grantees from it can at any rate contribute something consequently to our administration or the local area like basic upkeep of the cleanliness of each barangay since there are 4p's recipients in each spot in the country.
Truly, I don't deny, I am one from our barangay who is accepting awards for my youngsters. I'm additionally a PL( parent leader)who facilitates with each meeting every month( modular now) of the 4p's individuals.
However, If I need to propose, I am more able to receive the cash from my perspiration and exertion.
It is not a good idea to accept free cash from our administration when we realize that our nation is brimming with debts. In any case, I am not hypocrite to decline an Assistance where I realize I could use wisely comparing to others who you don't know where they spent it . I am dissimilar to other people who depend on it and even use it for unlawful practices.
How I offered back the blessing?
To my local area
As a coordinator .I generally set a schedule for my fellow 4p's members even without the request from the administrative center to direct a Clean and Green action.
🔹I generally arrange with the school for a Brigada which includes solely 4p's individuals as participants for the activity. This is excluded from parents participatory in their Brigada for their children.
All exercises I recorded for additional proof that we are contributing to our community as a group. I don't care either way if other barangays are doing it likewise or not yet for our situation, it is our drive. At any rate we have answers if ever that non-4p's groups questions about us accepting free cash without doing anything.
🔹Any unlawful utilization of the grant is being observed by me with the assistance of other members like buying liquors and gambling since it is one of the guidelines the program has set up. Luckily, we don't have a problem to that here.
🔹Crediting and utilizing the CashCard as collateral for paying obligations.
I have one experience when I accompanied one of the member to the head office for pawning her Cashcard. It ought to be done internally with me so she will not be humiliated and a warning advice should be given, however the other members announced it to the head already.
🔹Since the modified meetings was carried out as modular as well, I am consistently the person who manage my fellow members to answer their modules. (In every modular session there is an included questions a member must answer at the end of the modules.)It adds pressure to me since I have youngsters to help with. So, I demand allowing their children to help in noting their modules since it is part of the family learning sessions.
**As for my Family**
🔹I generally make sure that the grant is being utilized in food and school supplies for my children. It isn't suitable to allow our children to go to class without pencil and a paper since they have the grant given by the program. They should have complete school supplies and appropriate clothes. But even before that, a parents' responsibility is to provide the needs of the child from the comfort of your home to outside needs until they grow up.
🔹I generally make sure that my children, monitored or not, to go to class and will not have bombing grades. I have this child of mine that has a lethargic capacity to get from his activity. It is hard to instruct him yet I continued asking him to achieve his modules even there are a great deal of times I wanted to give up. My head aches when he is the one I am teaching. It isn't on the grounds that he is one of the recipients of the grant but since I thought that If will surrender, what might happen to him later on? I know, there is something special in every person and I expected him discover it sometime in the future, yet in the event that I will give up now, how might he discover it?
💠~~~~~~~~~~~~~~💠~~~~~~~~~~~~~~💠
Presently back to TUPAD, as our duty, we cleaned the pathways and cleared weeds that develop close by the way. We cleared canals and additionally included clearing the trail prompting our ricefields since picking up trash doesn't require how many days.
The temporary community-based work under the municipal ran for 10 days while under the provincial ran for 15 days.
As being under the fund of municipality we just had 10 days working with 350 pesos for each day.It is significantly better compared to sitting inactively and hang tight to no end right?Though it didn't went consistently, I actually appreciate for the blessing. We all ought to. It could cover for few days utilization for the family if spent wisely.
Before the pandemic strucked, I generally apply for job orders in our municipality to create additional income since my husband's salary isn't sufficient for a family with developing kids. A dollar is as of now a colossal sum compared with nothing. So I am grateful I found to read.cash. It doesn't burn-through quite a bit of my time I can publish as long as I want to.
At the point when this pandemic strucked, I was more resolved to secure different jobs however sadly, I can't find one.Only this TUPAD I took a stab at acquiring beside my readcash and noise.cash thanks to that.
Thank you for your time reading!

How Do You View Your Rights?
***Human rights pertain to moral principles or norms for standards of human behaviour and one regularly protected by law. (Wikipedia)***
*It is the basic rights and freedom that belong to every person from birth until death and doesn't choose whether what race you came from and what standard of living you have.*
*This right will forever a person possess* *and these rights are all based on shared values like dignity, fairness, equality, respect and independence.*
The Philippines' present situation regarding human rights is on the verge of limbo. Two different parties we're having different views and perspective about the issue of how human rights are being dealt with.
In my part, I noticed that human rights are being abused and used as an excuse to cover up the crime commited by the criminal. May it be on the right side or the wrong side.
As you can see, in every situation, there is always a rule to follow. Inside your home, there are certain regulations set by your parents for the whole family to have a peaceful household and avoid conflicts. Even a simple house chores, parents make schedules for the children to follow so that every task will be distributed equally and make the loads lighter. This is just a simple instance of having rules to follow. Some rules are meant to be created by our parents for the sake of our security and welfare. It has to be heavy so that everyone must abide. To make it more solid, a punishment would be set as a foundation of the rules that were formulated. If no retribution being set, the rule is just a mere piece of the word without value. However,in every situation, we have the right to defend ourselves before we are punnished. Our voice should be heard.
Now regarding human rights in our country, same situation from the example I states above. We all have the right to live the way we want to but not to the extent of abusing the law. However, others aren't satisfied with the way they live and violates the law implemented and commit crimes, stealing, murdering innocent people and destroying others lives. When that individual was caught or even being killed for his crime, people protest for human eights violation disregarding the cause for his death. The law authorities are being blamed for the casualty the criminal has done. One of the problems our country is facing is drugs and graft and corruption. Our government has established a war on drugs since it has the greatest rate our country is encountering. It has cleaned up offices with corrupt officials. The overall result is extraordinary. It never happened before in our country's history. The worst war in the Philippines about war or drugs that involved government officials, high profiled or low it doesn't matter.
However, in some operations about the war on drugs, it involve innocent children during the operations. High percentage of cases also were recorded about the situation wherein children were either killed or present during raids done by law officers. The suspects allegedly fought back so they were shot. Family members were left in agony and suffers from bullying from neighbors and in school for having a drug user or pusher head of the family.
Here are some situations that shows human right is viewed differently.
Imagine a vendor whose son is ill. He went outside to buy food supplies with his limited collection from his sales for the whole day but was confronted by a drug user and tried to steal away his little money. Since it was intended for his ill son, he fought for it that caused his death. Now he won't have any money left but also a lifeless father. People fighting for human rights are silent.
A day after, the same situation happened in one of the alleys. One passerby was a policeman and he responded to a robbery situation. The criminal was an 18-year-old young kid and was accidentally killed by the policeman because he fought back and don't want to surrender. People fighting for human rights are so loud looking for justice for the death of the young kid.
In a raid, a policeman included a young man that they mistook of a drug pusher when in fact he is just a bystander, the innocent lad was surprised so he reacted and tried to ran away, he was shot dead. When the operation was done, they included him in the list of the criminals. Families shout out for justice but no responce since people involved in drug operations are considered law violators. Human rights violated.
So,in these scenarios can you see the different views on human rights? Human rights are to be used in legal ways not to use as a weapon to do unlawful acts and seek justice afterwards.
Deviants and criminals in our country are being punished accordingly. I don't disagree with the way it was put up. We all know that we have such rules and regulations implemented in the first place. But as our government are solving the crime that surges up every second, and found out that the law was disregarded, they impose a more harsh punishment to let the nation know that a law is a law and learn their lesson. Being a criminal is showing that you don't have respect for our country and for your parents who brought you up into this world.
To make the story short, If you don't want to be punished, obey the rules. Obey the rules so that little crime shouldn't lead to death but an arrest. That is a simple 1-2-3 problem-solution to attain a peaceful country.
Yes, everyone should follow the law but at times too, the police always abuse their power and use force on everything.
"Lawmakers are Lawbreakers" This is a sad part in which we relied on our safety to the people who supposedly the ones to protects us but instead, they are the ones who harm and mistreat us.
"No one should take laws into their hands to kill a criminal. They all have a place which is jail". Thought there were laws that was implemented to law enforcers that abuse their power, it doesn't apply when no evidence presented.
Those were the problems in our country that remains unsolved and hinders the progress of our nation.
This topic is based on the day to day situations where we are watching, hearing and witnessed about how our right are being dealt with.
Thank you for your time reading.

What Keeps Me in This Platform?
**What's keeping me on this platform?**
I'm not the sort of a decent writer. I don't communicate in English smoothly and I can't compose a solitary article regularly as others could. Every time I attempt to press my brains they were unfilled and seems like got dried out.
I admit my reason for joining this platform is plainly to earn. @Z_graeden who acquainted this site to me is likewise in a similar situation with mine. We were both young moms who attempted to discover sidelines how to earn online yet was in the end we were defrauded by the platforms we joined. We lost our money. I'm happy she discovered this platform and shared it with me. It's simply blogging and sharing random stuffs in the site so from that moment we both attempted and acquire dollars however the sum is barely just enough to purchase for our data for a week.
It was hard for me to earn even a limited quantity since I was new and I have no followers. In this way, I figured out how to interact. @Z_graeden educated me concerning technique on the show to earn more so by joining giveaways and interactions I attempted every one of them. I likewise pick great authors here whom I followed. Through interacting, I was going to accumulate followers however not all that numerous yet I am happy and contented. Individuals In which I am commenting with their articles started to remark on mine. It was a colossal improvement to me!
We met a few virtual companions here, more are individuals like us who needed to earn in this platform Then there appears to be a connection between us.
**An unexpected change**
Long time users in here knew what I am about to mention. The introduction of AI (Artificial Intelligence). It was made to address spamming that infiltrate the platform. Gradually, communication started to decrease. Everybody was so occupied in their articles to extend it to pass the prerequisite of the bot. Heaps of clients left because of the irregular visit of the bot in their articles since it was rewards are given randomly by the bot and here and there there were users marked Spam when in fact they were not. Rewards likewise stop when you are being checked spam.Fortunately, spammers are wiped out though not perfectly.
**Here comes an unpleasant encounter to me**.
I encountered being marked spam.😅 The moment it happened, I was so dismal. What could be the explanation I marked as spam when I generally live with the standards. No more visit from the bot that time. No reward. No earnings. Did I surrender? No.
Even though my comments were hidden section, I still interact with my friends. I'm happy they still opened hidden messages and answered my comments. I even published articles even without any reward thinking that eventually, everything will be back to normal. This continued for how many days I can't remember.
**At that point came the surprise!**
As I was commenting on one article, one of my friends informed me that my comments are visible! Finally I felt free! Realizing that my remarks are now noticeable. There was a different feeling inside me. I, however thought, "so, that was how being marked as spam feels like?". 🤣🤣🤣
If I have nothing to write I visit Noise.Cash.Then I returned to read cash and read articles that I thought relevant.Noise. Cash added more activity to my dull life after it was created in December 2020. Rather than posting on Facebook, I am posting it in noisecash instead.
**The most beautiful part**
It was in the point at which I got inspired by crypto once again. Individuals I was following were BCH supporters and consistently posting their insight about their journey. I was enticed to follow their means. It has been so long when I left crypto the time I was defrauded.
**My partial history**
Since 2017, Bitcoin was introduced to me by an associate yet I didn't bite his invitation because I have zero knowledge about what he is talking about. Maybe if I went along with him that time I have a huge amount of bitcoin today. 😅A year after and the invitation I learned other cryptos and mining bitcoin also. In any case, after being defrauded from a crypto related platform and bringing forth my last child I quit being connected with the crypto world.
**At the Present Situation**
Presently, as I bring back the first time I was here, I never expected it I could make it as of recently. Why? This is because Read.Cash and BCH turned into a part of my day by day activities. It turned into a 9 months reading, and interacting in read.cash and I forgot my intention of earning only. It became a part of my life.😊
**So what's keeping me in this Platform?**
The moment I comprehend the vision and mission of our founders in this platform by utilizing Read.cash and Noise.Cash as a door to cause BCH to turn into the most esteemed digital currency I wanted to reach that mission too. Take a look at the previous birth of read.cash and how it become this time, it made individuals in this platform got mindful of BCH much more besides the tips, upvotes making interactions and making friends and rewards they receive. The motive of giving BCH awareness in here began to start. I was also became attached to my virtual friends in here that whenever I publish my article, they are there to give notice to my efforts. I owe my appreciation to them.
**My Goal**
Each BCH I obtained helped me in my financial issues however not much but I still consider it great. Who could simply pick a sum in an alley everyday right.
I believe there's nothing free nowadays. All that you acquire ought to be from your perspiration and blood, and from your effort.
I tried using BTC once yet it is like requesting a cake however just a piece of slice showed up. 🤣
Unlike Bitcoincash, I was so fulfilled by its capacities from exchange speed and lower charges. I can even rely in it during emergencies. I tried it when I was in town and I was short of cash and it will be used for buying a medicine for my daughter. From that moment I claimed the amount I needed. This is the kind of Crypto that I am searching for!
Presently every single sum I acquired I now hold it. Bitcoin cash has shown me that it can overwhelm Bitcoin from its seat.
Since January in this year 2021. I started holding by BCH and joined my virtual friends in here in arriving at every objective to collect at least 1 BCH or more.Others have more BCH than mine. I felt envy towards their accomplishment. Who are you kidding? Because it was indeed inviable so how did I respond? I gradually adapt to their moves. Even though it's troublesome from the start yet, I still tried. My admiration to BCH pushed me to follow their means and reach for my own goals.
I'm targetting a sum for a guitar for my son. However, that can pause. I need to arrive at my objective first before that so I can achieve my dream in buying a PC for me and my eldest.
**Balancing my time**
Since the modified schooling was executed here in our country, I was so busy with my time with my kids yet as the days are passing, I figured out how to balance it and have additional time in this platform.
I simply wish read.cash and noise.cash will last more than anybody could anticipate so that I can add more to my hodled BCH.
Bitcoin cashers! We should all shake the universe of Crypto!
Thank you for your time visiting my article. ❣️
**>Xzeon<**
Thank you @TruSuccessXpert for renewing your sponsorship. The previous one didn't show in my sponsor box. I'm glad now it shows. 😊More blessings to you.
Newly found Family
As I was perusing on articles here in read.Cash, I stumbled an article of @sc about having a family, however the feeling of belongingness, she discovered it in her friends family.
Subsequent to understanding it, I come to understand that we do have similar sentiments. However I found the love and acceptance from my newly found family.
I do have my own family and family members yet I don't feel the glow I ached to feel from them. Despite the fact that occasionally we assembled, I can feel that something is inadequate. I even heard somebody from my own family saying that I am the most extraordinary among them.( Different in a way that I generally negate what my mom is tellng me and don't go with their stream. I'm additionally somewhat tight with cash according to them) . Somewhere inside I just thought, "Obviously, what do you anticipate from me? "
I grew up away from them and I was adjusting the characters and attributes of my foster parents,(I was with my stepmother more often since we are the only one left at home when my stepdad left for work for how many months so the greater chance I got a portion of her qualities. ) She was a strict one and so stingy.
**What's my point**
Before I moved in to my spouses' family house, I however thought I would be left out. I have a character that doesn't need or dread being dismissed. I have questions and heaps of what-ifs uncertainties. Consider the possibility that they don't acknowledge me? What if they discover defects in me in which they don't like. For sure if my in-laws have negative qualities and will show it to me when my husband is away. These sort of contemplations were impacts of reading paperbacks and watching motion pictures of marriage which has negative stories during moving in of a couple into one's family.
**The Reality**
I let it out was not that simple from the start since you need to adapt with your in-laws. I don't need them to discover anything amiss with me.But I learned not to be plastic. Though I want to adapt to them, I stayed being real.
Every one of the works on the farm I normally learned it from them. From clearing the ricefield to sowing, harvesting and cultivating. I never heard negative words from them ( only the second to last of my spouse's kin since she was given cash by my husband for fare and she is complaining it's insufficient and told her friends my husband and I were both stingy. 😜 Well, I understand, she's still immature that time.
I lived with my grandmother when I returned here in our barrio from the city so I wasn't prepared to do cultivate works because the vast majority of the day and week I was in school. I just aided her at the end of the week. So everything in association with the farm I discovered it from my new family.
Not to gloat but rather I am closer to my inlaws than any of my spouse's siblings wives. This is because I learned to figure out how to change and adjust to my environmental factors and the circumstances I am in.
During occasion social affairs, I even really like to go along with them than my family members when it happened that they come and visit in here. I'm more comfortable with them.
Here I have taken in something from mothers a lot more aged than me giving me marriage advice. I couldn't say whether it is appropriate to you yet it is to me. One thing I learned is never to have to fight with your in-laws as much as possible. It's hard to bring back the great connection between you towards them. Even though there is acceptance after tension is done, the recollections will remain and they will at the forefront of your thoughts and vice versa. Having a misunderstanding with your kin is far better than having a conflict with your in-laws. It is because regardless of what occurred, they are your brothers and sisters by blood. Someday somehow you will be on acceptable terms again and will feel that misconception is only something normal since you were children.
_When there is a major issue with you and your husband, don't rush to your folks if you realize that they are the bias kind. They would pick your side however you will not be determined how is the proper thing to deal with resolving your concern yet they will simply make you more unequipped for addressing your own. They would just add fire to the ash. They would accept all that you say and will not discover the reason for your conflicts.
**_Don't invest more energy with singles**😅.
Hep! Singles don't get me wrong. It is based on my experience. What I mean is, singles have an unpredictable outlook in comparison to wedded ones. If you know that your friends you believe are matured thinkers, you will have no issue with that. But being with singles with various outlook, you will not grow. They will drag you to live like how they exist. Rather than figuring out how to carry on with a wedded life, you will be enticed to return to your bygone eras (being carefree and happy-go-lucky). It's not bad having contacts with them occasionally because you can't delete the associations among you and your friends since they were part of the years where you enjoyed your single life. They were essential for your lives but...there is a limit.😊If you want to grow, go with people about your level. People who are more knowledgeable of the situation you are about to enter. That way, you will be directed to the right path you should step on.
Again, I wrote this based on my experience. If anything contradicts your perception, you are free to comment down your thoughts.😊
Thanks a lot for having the time in reading my article.😊

Save and Retrieve
"If you tucked something away, you’ll have something to retrieve someday. "
This is one of the famous sayings of Filipinos that we inherited from our ancestors. Some other saying was too old and sometimes forgotten but it remains and is applied to our everyday lives. I included it as my preview because it has a connection to my article below.
As you go along with my article, you will encounter another one.
"An empty container is noisy." In my article, it has literal meaning though. 😁
I always believe that it is beneficial to store something for the future. Last week, my husband came home because he was having a stubborn cough for about a week. He was about to be transferred to another construction site and he left abruptly another week ago. At that time he was having a mild cold and due to the absence of a pharmacy in his location, his cough worsens. So after claiming his 15 days salary he came come.
I was anticipating a shortage in the budget already that time because in his kind of job, "NO WORK NO PAY". The more he stayed at home, the longer his absences in his workplace, no salary to collect.
After staying home for a few days with the taking over counter drugs for cough but with no effect, I was able to convince him to go to town for a check-up. We all know that in this new normal situation, running to the hospital with a cough or cold is not a good idea if you don't want to get confined. That is the situation my husband is getting rid of. He got his colds and cough from the changing of our weather and it is normal in here when this kind of conditions occur. I told him there are private clinics available in town with cheap doctors fee and medicines. I need to convince him because I felt pity in his situation. He is the kind of man who doesn't get sick easily but once a stubborn virus has gotten him, it won't leave him until a strong medicine will be taken by him. He started to lose weight, and his cheeks were getting hollow. With a bit of scolding for his stubbornness, he agreed. Honestly, he always relies on me even on simple things which I sometimes feel annoyed with him but I accepted as his flaws. So that's it, I accompanied him to a private clinic in our town. The doctor prescribed him 4 kinds of medicine. Everything worth $25 in total and a $4 doctors fee.
It was already a heavy amount to pluck from our pocket since my husband is not a big-time labourer or a professional with a degree but if we are talking about health, it won't matter. Money can be replenished anyway.
Deep inside I am worrying about how to balance our budget. I am just not showing it. It doesn't help anyway. There was a list of bills to be paid. Rice needs to be replenished because at that moment I remembered the rice in its plastic container is already shallow and you can hear the bottom collides with the scoop whenever I scoop inside and I am about to fill our pot with rice 😅. The gauge in our LPG ( Liquefied petroleum gas) is already in its warning colour sign and low digits. 🙄
Electricity bills just delivered by the electricity checker/meter reader.🙄 Eldest daughters tuition fee in a slip was clipped in one side of our calendar worth $280...there's soo much to think about!😅
So what I did was to decide which is the most urgent. Counting the money left from my husband's wage, It won't cover all our needs for now.
I decided after that.
When we arrived home, I opened to him that instead of buying rice, we had to be taking out rice from our granary in the meantime. With no choice, he agreed since it was the purpose of storing it for emergencies. This is to loosen our budget a bit. Next was the LPG. Before, when our LPG runs out, we to cooked by the fireplace using firewood or sawdust if there was no money to pay for a refill of the tank but since the fireplace was removed because of the renovation of our humble house it's not possible to cook with firewoods anymore or else the whole house will become full of smoke.
Now I would like to share our activity when we opened the granary. Together with my two sons and their youngest little sister, we went to the granary. I cannot rely on their dad to watch over their sister because of his cough. By the way, the little girl was Xzeon. 😊
This is how the inside of the granary looks like.
We just filled it in last year. Other granaries we're full unlike ours because they have lots of lands to farm. What's inside the granary was from our harvest from the patch of land we are farming. Maybe this coming harvest time again we could reap more if not for the rat infestation on our ricefields.
I am thankful we decided to store and not let it milled these past few months after the harvest. The granary was from my grandmother which she told me when she was alive that it was my fathers'. I remembered what she said to me so I talked to my husband and ask him to repair holes and damages in it so we could try to store our food for our future since we can afford to buy commercial rice in the meantime. So you see, storing is not only in the form of money, it could be in the form of other material things.
Unfortunately, other parts of the country can't store their rice grains like we do. There are limits to the shelf life of their grains. Rice weevils attack the storage room in the other part of the country. Farmer's remedy uses insecticides to preserve the grains for the next planting season but not for future human consumption.
Here I fully sacked rice bundles and another sack was just 3/4 since my younger son can't carry a full sack. 1 sack of it contains 50 bundles. The other was 35.
They brought it to the millhouse just above our house. I realised we have a lot of companions because I find lots of sacks of grains standing in the attic of the millhouse so we waited another day before ours was milled. The incoming wedding explained it all.
At last, our rice container was filled again.
One problem solved. LPG was **refilled**, the second problem solved and the most important thing was the checkup done! The money left was for our home necessities and other bills. Perhaps next time I can give a down payment for my daughter's tuition fee, by God grace.

My "Retired Vault" issues
This is my very first time io update about my journey in Crypto world in Defi (Pancake and Beefy Finance) . This tells my experience after encountering an issue in my journey.
Since April was ending, I tried to check my investments in Pancake and Beefy Finance. As I was checking, I noticed it doesn't easily show in YieldWatch just how it easily works everytime I opened it. Try **yieldwatch.net** it shows deposited amount and yield separately. https://yieldwatch.net/
You see, I am having trouble opening beefy and other Defi in my Dapps due to slow internet connection in our place. I have to wake up as early as 3:00 just to be able to open and see the actual fund and earning in Defi like Pancake and Beefy. I haven't tried other Defis yet. I was supposed to try CUB but my BNB is not enough for withdrawal in my Binance wallet.I was shocked to know that BNB withdrawal rised to 0.1 BNB. 😅 I still lacked 0.3 BNB in order to withdraw it to my Trust wallet.
So, I am glad I found out about yieldwatch that was in the list of new Dapps.Actually I just found it out of curiousity. 😁But I'm thankful I did.
In here I was able to see my earnings everyday. The only disadvantage is it doesn't show the warning about retired vaults and it doesn't show earnings from other vaults, only Beefy and Pancake.
So yesterday, maybe it was meant to happen that I can't sleep. I was browsing with my phone until 2:00 am. Good thing I remembered to open my Trust wallet and its Dapps.
I was surprised to find out why the color of the pair I invested BCH-BNB LP was diffrent and showing retired in it upper left corner. I didn't know that the vault retires.
After reading the note below, I tried to withdrew it immediately but to my dismay, I can't withdraw it because my BCS balance is negative. I was saddened as I though it was urgent and I need to withdraw it as soon as possible.
I thought of @leejhen because I know she was active in pancake and beefy and sent her Direct message in telegram for the first time. I have to loan BCS so that I can have fund to use in withdrawing my BCH fund but unfortunately it was in her vault because of high withdrawal in binance. Next thing I did was to post it in noise.cash thinking someone might respond and rescue me😅.
Time passed and i just recieved tips without responce.Maybe foreign friends can't understand because it was written in Filipino. I was losing my hope when i absent mindedly scrolled my noise again and Yes! Someone responded but... I was a bit in doubt because she added emoji to her comment that it shows she's just kidding😁.
Even so, I quickly replied and sent her my BSC address. I was delighted when it showed in my wallet after few minutes.I paid her in bch since I don't have BSC and I am glad she agreed.
Unfortunately, the signal went slow and I felt argggh!
That means I had to wait for tomorrow again. 🤦♀️
This early morning I woke up again and checked my Defi. I was devastated when I tried to withraw it and it's showing error.
As the word reverted means return, I guessed that it was returned to my account but why is it not showing in my wallet?
Now I am starting to worry. I looked for groups in telegram about beefy finance that could help me in resolving my issue. I joined and asked but... It doesn't help.
It only gave me consolation that my funds won't get lost. But deep inside me I have a doubt. Who knows right?
I thought of searching it in google and guess what?
I found one, and its @leelhens account in readcash! Maybe her post showed in my notification in here but because of busy days these past few weeks I was not able to read it. If I only I did, maybe I solved my issues earlier.
I read her article and tried to apply it in mine. I have to encounter congestion so I need refreshing lots of time. I did it for how many times but it never showed. I was looking at the screen for a long time thinking my fund was lost. Then I saw something below the liquidity screen
It was in a new V2 version in which I don't know what it meant. But as I searched further, I learned that the PancakeSwap was migrating for PancakeSwap V2 and it was on effect last April 23 2021. It mainly affects the liquidity pairs only not to single assets. That explains my issues.
So after guessing that maybe my account was in the old version out of instict I clicked the old version and there! It showed my paired BCH-BNB!
Below was CAKE-BNB also that retired so I broke the pairs by approving the removal of liquidity of my assets. I did it to both two pairs, the BCH and CAKE in which I paired with BNB.
At last transaction was a success! . I refreshed my wallet and there it showed my withdrawn BCS and CAKE! 👍
I am very much thankful for @Eirolfeam2 for loaning her BCS, more blessings to you💕.
Note:
If you have any PancakeSwap LP Tokens deposited in a Beefy vault, you’ll need to:
Withdraw your LP tokens from the Beefy.Finance vault and unstake your LP tokens from the old farm on PancakeSwap.
Next you remove liquidity on PancakeSwap for that LP and add liquidity to the new type of LP on PancakeSwap
You can now restake in new farm on PancakeSwap and redeposit your LP token into the new Beefy.Finance Pancake Vault once it is released.
I will try this new update when my net gets stronger as it was getting slow. Sunshine is already up so time to rise up! 😁
This is kinda tough. I hope I delivered this article well.
Thanks again for reading!

Someones' Recollections
Every night my husband and I were having a chat before going to bed especially when we just finished our dinner. Aside from family matters, he would always tell me stories about his past at my request and vice versa.
Whenever we have our meals together with the children he suddenly mentioned their life so difficult yet simple. That gave me an idea to document some of his memories. I was supposed to write mine but since I already shared my childhood experiences here, let me share with you some of my husband's recollections during his childhood in which until now he can still recall even the time has faded away.
I know every one of us has our own funny or sad memories of when we were still a child. I would love to hear some of yours too. I am only citing what my husband told me with some comical events, though I have numerous list of them. I know that your experiences are different from my husbands because he grows in a native village. I for one was amazed by his stories since we didn't grow in the same place. (Our hometown)
So, here it is.
Have you remembered the first time VHS players or television was introduced in your barrio or town? During those moments, the first time he experienced watching in front of the VHS player(the cartridge type), my husband at a young age was full of curiosity. He was curious how humans fit in that not-so-big box and even changing their locations and clothes. He wondered how they manage to do that. They even speak a unique language he can't understand. Together with his friends, their eyes full of amazement closely packed in front of the box silently captured by the images moving. They're all mutually understanding the actions and even laugh in the chorus when the actions look amusing.
Every day they collected bottles of Ginebra San Miguel (gin) in exchange for the film they are going to watch. The bottles worth ¢.50 for 4x4 while ¢.25 for the round post. They need to pay 2 pesos every session so instead of money they are going to use the bottles as an entrance fee for watching. So, if he was engrossed in playing and swimming in the river which one of his childhood hobbies from his memories too, he forgot to collect bottles. So, he has to suit himself peering outside the owner of the movie house and had to withstand the mosquito bites that is enjoying his innocent skin.
There were also times when he was sent by his mother on an errand and he stopped by the "place" and took the chance to peer in the wall and find out what are they watching and experience scoldings and beatings for taking too long to arrive in their house. That was so similar to mine when I was sent my mother to buy something in the store and I have to run fast and ran back again so that I can watch in our neighbours' window and estimate the time to arrive home.😅
Sometimes, as I imagine being in my husbands moments, I realized they were being tricked by the owner since they have to pay the same amount and watch the movie over and over again. The VHS tape needs to be bought or rented in town but the owner only changes after few weeks. My husband and his friends even memorized the scenes and instead of watching the movie, they were telling the next events instead which annoys the other people who just came to watch and haven't seen the movie.
Nowadays, you can watch various kinds of movies on Netflix, Youtube, or even download them from the internet. You can also watch television in the comfort of your homes anytime. But the feeling of contentment, excitement and joy in that simple thing before is far more enjoyable than today's experiences.
One story he told me regarding innocence during his childhood days was swimming in the river wearing nothing and is just normal. There is no malice for the kids like them may it be a girl or a boy.
Another was their curiosity towards foreigners that come to our barrio for a visit or just a common tourist who passed by our barangay and took some photos of our place. Together with my husband's companion they would ask for candies and any treats from them but with hesitation and pushing and picking who would speak out the words as a result of only saying the word "Kenji" for candy or "choklet" instead of chocolate in an intonation where you can't differentiate whether they were asking a question or a request and when the foreigners ask something from them they would only nod and say "yes, yes". 😅
He also remembered the moment when they saw a car on our highway for the first time that makes them ran away for fear that someone inside will be going to abduct them. Together they will shout warnings to their companions. They would hide under the tall grasses near the road. It started when their parents threatened them for the reason of preventing them from staying near the public road, they call the car "Auto". So when they saw a car, they would shout auto! auto is coming! the abductor is coming! then they would step back down the pathway that leads to the entrance of the village.
These past few years, abductors are said to be riding in vans or any vehicles with tinted windows. The news even went viral in social media all over the country by chain messages in messenger, by forwarded texts and sometimes netizens post it on Facebook for awareness. That was the time when lots of children got lost and were abducted and never found again. It was reported that the children were sold by human traffickers for their internals. Whenever my husband sees a familiar car that looks like the old model, it brings his memory back again **e**specially the models from the 1990s. It's sad, that during those time, the situation was only a threat. He never realized it would become a reality today, so am I. There were fewer vehicles you can find here before. Unlike now that it infiltrated every corner of our road.
There was a time when his mother went to town, there was only one jeepney travelling from our village to town and he quickly hanged at the back of the jeepney. No matter how her mother tried to bring him down and prevented my husband to come with her, he still tightens his grips🤣
Clothes were so scarce before. Hubby remembered he only has few pairs of shirts and pants. He even went to school with his butts showing his behind because his pair of short pants were torn. He only had better clothes when some relatives working from a mining company came home and gave them second-hand clothes. That was so priceless that time already. His parents were both uneducated that they were having difficulty in providing their wants. As long as they ate 3 times a day or more is enough already.
In every meal where my husband's family joined together, hubby's dad would remind them to minimize their viand especially when it is meat. Having one kind of viand and one small size is enough. They can't have different kinds on their table as their father told them their intestines would rumble in their insides which they all believe.😅
Today seeing our children enjoying their meals with different kinds of dish, he would say, "you are all lucky you didn't experience what my life was before during mealtime".Indeed, before, they don't get hungry because life is simple at that time. You can pick vegetables anytime, wild or not in our surroundings and no luxuries to get you tempted to waste your money. No monthly bills to worry about. No loads since there were no gadgets. The only luxury that time was to go to the main town and try to have a cup of native coffee (Barako) and buy some bakery bread.
Coffeeshops are being replaced by modern food chains and cakes and pastry shops. But the aroma of the native coffee is still missed by many of our people so it is still included in the menus if you happened to visit our place.
Thinking of that bakery bread made me laugh. We were having our coffee one early morning when Hubby told me about one time he was with his playmates in the waiting shed alongside the national road towering our village when he was about 1o. They used to standby in their favourite spot in the old waiting shed and waited for our villagers who went to town. They were to carry goods the villagers purchased in the market and let the children carry it down to our village and as a salary or labour for the effort was a piece of the sliced cinnamon bread.🤣 But even so, they were so contented with what they received according to hubby since they don't always taste bread as they were poor and bread is like a gem those times.
Unlike in the city, where I grew up, we can choose whether we prefer per piece or bag of bakery goods, but my husband only these past 30 years I think, that he had tasted bread and that was at least thrice a year. 😢
Observing kids labour now, it is now in the form of money. Most of the time, my children always have more money than me.🤣They are involved in any sideline job from small task to much heavier ones.
Maybe some of you will say it's child labour or child abuse but NO. There is no such thing as child labour here because our children at a young age know how to earn their own money. Child abuse? still No. We are developing our children to become lazy if we don't let them free to find their labour and they find joy In doing it. In terms of carrying, we don't insist on allowing them to carry heavy loads, we see to it that their age is levelled to how heavy they are about to carry. They even keep coming you say No. They are the one who insists to take the task no matter how hard you decline and would find out falling for them just to shoo them away.
Youths at an age of 12 and above can earn $20 a day especially when there are newly constructed houses or store owners and hog growers (for feeds). Loads they were about to carry for labour are bags of cement, sand and gravel, lumbers iron bars in which they carry sometimes my partner especially when the hauliers are younger.
Whenever I am short of cash, I even loan from one of my children but I have to make sure I will pay for it when I have my husbands salary. Though I can ignore paying them, I need to maintain their trust so that in different matter they can also trust me.
Well, my husband is just a mere labourer. A driver/operator of a construction company. A typical work level of an uneducated man but with a great heart towards his children. Because of a difficult life, instead of going to school most of his batchmates would climb and hang over a guava tree because they don't have papers to bring to school. They would go to the forest and collect orchids and sold them to the soldiers who happened to have their detachment in our mounts to have something to buy for their slippers. They need to pound rice every morning and afternoon to have something to cook for the day. No mill house that time. Unlike today, we can buy rice by sack or let our rice grains be milled in the millhouse. I admire him for his dedication to provide for our needs even though he has an unusual temper. 😁
Though how difficult it was before, I am thinking I would like to experience it. it's a different experience to live in a province than in the city for me. 😁
I think that's enough for today, and let's call it a day!
Thank you for reading. Tasks are waiting ahead. 💕

"Mangmang"
"Mangmang", in Filipino, this word means ignorant, foolish or stupid. Fellow Filipinos might be thinking I'm talking about ignorance in this article but let me remind you all, I am talking about the activity we are doing during "ketna", a time when planting season is done. Time of rest. We usually do it twice. First, was when the planting season in the other part of our mountain we called "Agyo" is done. The second part is in the central or main village "Vabley".
Yesterday was a day in which our community was having the communal rest day of the people from long labour in the farm. I was so busy that I have no chance to open my accounts in read cash and noise. I was like a top who runs back and forth from accomplishing different tasks.
Started from the morning I brought home sugarcane leaves being collected from the farm, cleaned and cut by my sister-in-law. I bartered our native rice with glutinous rice as well since we don't have one. It's the advantage of being the youngest among the women from my in-laws since I always request favours from the older sisters. I am being fortunate my request are granted.😅
Where would I use the sugarcane leaves for? Well, it is used to wrap glutinous rice with peanuts in it. I have to weave it to form an envelope to serve as a wrapper for "Tupig".
I cannot remember when was the last time I cooked this Tupig so I forgot how to weave so I asked for assistance from one of my sister-in-law to teach me again, I was always stuck in the middle of weaving😅. I gulped my pride and went back to her house again and anticipates her teasing.😁What a coincidence when my mother-in-law and a female cousin of my husband was there too.🤭 So it became 3 versus 1🤣.
We ate afterwards in that house. Later, after few trials of weaving until I was able to do it perfectly, we transferred to our house. The boys(my sons with their cousins) cooked our viand, we ate again. As I watch the young boys, It's so different many years ago when our children were still young. That time they were only sitted on the corner or playing around while their fathers do the preparations. Today they were the ones who prepare the chicken to be cooked. How time flies swiftly. They are all big boys now.
In the afternoon, I was accompanied by my son and his cousin to collect banana leaves for the patupat. While husband and my other children were filling the envelopes with glutinous rice with peanuts.
We started to cook for the tupig in the evening since it needs lot of time to get cooked. Together with my eldest daughter, we ended wrapping the "patupat" at 11:09 in the evening.Patupat in most places in the Philippines is known as "Suman" but we differ in fillings.Suman has caramelized coconut as a filling or just plain glutinous rice with concentrated coconut oil without any filling. Our version has ground roasted peanuts with sugar. Similarly, we also cook the plain one.
I woke up in the morning and steamed the Patupat.
In the morning, when everything was ready, I started to segregate it to every relatives(not everyone)😅. I realize i will be needing a more bigger pot. This sharing runs everytime this event arrives. Its been so long when I did this because even I find it difficult to do the preparations, but I still prepared for our consumption.I do not want my children to go out feeling envy on other kids with the food prepared by their mothers and come home with enviousness in their faces.
Let me introduce why we are doing this practice. It is a part of our culture as an Igorot. Mangmang is the procedure in which we strengthen the bonding between our kins.Mangmang will never be perfect without "Pinikpikan", a butchered chicken, feathers burned over a fire and boiled together with salted meat that was long stored in its storage container. We don't perform this practice when the family is not complete. When the family members are all present, that is the time when we can perform mangmang. However, when the family is not complete, we perform a get-together occasions we call a picnic.Extended relatives are invited so we transfer from one house to house giving our intestines space to be replenished by and by.
Originally, mangmang is not only done during this planting season but also in situations when one member of the family met misfortunes and bad dreams. It is a way of cleansing away bad luck from the family. Another more complicated practice in connection to this is "Jo-eh". It needs a pig to be slaughtered, mangmang will be performed in the evening.
It is also a way of bonding with our ancestors, elders said that during mangmang, our ancestors come and feast with us. So, during the meal, we have to place a bit of rice and a chicken on a plate and leave it in the corner. I was even curious what our elders are whispering while leaving the plate.😅. I tried to ask one and he said that he is inviting the spirits to eat. Spirits get mad also when they are not invited.
I hope I am not confusing my readers regarding this.😅
When I was a child, my foster parents used to perform the practice in the city. I realized that being an Igorot, you bring your culture everywhere that is, if you value it. I remembered I was not allowed to make sounds (falling objects) or spill any liquid once the chicken was started to get executed😅. My father said it is a way of respecting the ancestors who come to visit. It might scare them away. The first part he said was right according to an elder in our neighbourhood. He added that in performing this practice, spills and sounds should be prevented as it will bring bad luck again. If you mistakenly failed to perform it perfectly, you have to do it over again. You need to slaughter another chicken again but the next time we have to do it at night as everybody is asleep and fewer tendencies of spills and falling of objects will happen. After the procedure, we have to leave the fire burning. We use fine rice hulls instead of logs to prevent fire accidents as we can't watch it overnight so if we use rice hulls, we can just leave the embers burning. We let it burn until morning.
For our part, we use a big candle that could last till morning because we don't have a fireplace accessible since the renovation of our house. I wish for it soon as we needed it most during cold days.
The fire symbolizes hope in our culture. It was a gift from "Lumawig" our local term for our creator. There was a story of this from my ancestors I think I will discuss it in another article if I have the chance.
Since I am a Christian and most of the people in here, we still perform the practice but in the honour of God and not to spirits.😁Though there are still some others who continue the old ways of doing the practices. We can't remove it since it's part of our culture.
I hope I was able to share our culture in the precise manner I wish you were able to comprehend.
Thank you for reading.❤💞

My New Babies
Sometimes, we need to be creative and resourceful so that in times of emergency we will not get unaccustomed to sudden change. Crisis awareness and preparedness are important so that in every crisis that may come, we will be able to survive the difficult situation.
Though this seems nothing important, I still want to share it with you fellow readcashers.
One day when I was on my way to retrieve my childrens' module, I passed by an old neighbour who happened to transfer their location near the highway a few meters away from the National Highschool where two of my children were enrolled. Every time I passed by their house, she always invites me to have a chat. She is one of my old neighbour with which I can go along with. She is approximately 10 years older or more than me but she treats me nicely even she is not one of our townmate. She also has good thinking in which I can tell her my secrets and so she does. She can criticize me like a daughter and I accept it openly. Unfortunately, her husband was diagnosed with diabetes that made his foot amputated. He was aid maintenance in town which makes his presence necessary every day in the site. After the amputation, they needed to transfer to his brother's house alongside the road for his comfort in easily transport from house to work.
Since their transfer of location, we weren't able to talk often. So every Friday or Monday when I submit and retrieve my kids' modules I was always halted by her when I passed by their house. After our chat, she offered me to survey her backyard and looked for something to harvest. May it be leafy vegetables or hanging eggplants or a vegetable pear (sayote).
Then, I noticed an unusual plant soaked in a small basin of water. I asked my friend what it was, she asked me if I wanted some strawberry runners. She bought them for 60pesos each. I said yes, I took 6 of the runners since I have a companion that time and she also wanted it so to leave some to the owner which I only get 6 little seedlings and brought them home. I had to pay the runners I took in instalment through a microfinance centre which we are both members. We compulsory pay savings and insurance every week. Since I bring no money at that moment, that is the solution I thought I am going to pay for the runners.
So back to my plant, I was so excited to plant it. As I am on my way back home I am already imagining where would I place it, what pots should I use and where would I get the appropriate soil for my baby strawberries.
The moment I stepped inside our humble home, I took our nonfunctioning electric kettle and removed its lid since I can't use it anymore. I also have cemented pot which I made out of the experiment and plastic paint containers in which my husband brought home because I requested him to bring home some empty paint containers for my plants in which he obeyed. It was supposedly intended for my spring onions but this time my onions can wait.
I collected some rice hulls nearby in our local mill house. I choose the decomposed ones because if I am to use dry ones, the chicken would scratch them and may damage my new plants.
Day after day I watched my newly planted strawberries grow and I am so excited to see them bear fruits. Sadly, a strong rain damaged one of the plants. I forgot that the place in which I put the pots are under the galvanized roof of our pigpen in which during a downpour, the water will fall to the plant since the roof has no gutter.
I console myself that it can be replaced as soon as the other strawberries produce runners, I will replant more. I learned different names of strawberries and I am planning to collect all of them. According to the owner of my plants, I had King Berry and the Runners, there is still others and I want to find out which one suits best to grow in our locality.
I am like a child who has a new toy and a new playmate. You may think it's nothing to get excited about and its, not a big thing but in case you do not know, I love plants. And I think, I will forever be. My emotions grow with every plant I grow. I become sad whenever my plants are damage. For me, my plants are also my families.
When I was younger, I remember I used to make plots in our backyard and would plant different kinds of local vegetables in which later we were able to harvest and will be served as our viand. I am amazed watching newly sprouted leaves from its seed no matter what kind it is.
I learned that you should remove old leaves from the plant to produce more fruits, I search on the internet and Youtube the proper way of taking care of strawberries. It should be left with few leaves only so that the plant will concentrate on producing fruits than growing leaves. Five leaves every plant will do. Checking it from time to time also for insects that stick to the leaves is a must because it can damage the plant and its flower that will become fruits. The strawberries are sensitive to insects as they will bore the leaves and creates holes in them including their fruits.
It took me a month when I observed a flower from my plant. This is my very first time growing my strawberry so I was so excited. Another week passed and see how it looks now...
I will be waiting for these plant to produce runners, that way I will not be buying runners for 60 PHP or more than $1 per piece/runner. I want to have my own for my family consumption. We'll never know I will be selling strawberry runners someday.
I have 10 more strawberry runners available for pick up according to my old neighbour. I will get it or ask my son to get it for me and will add more to my collections. Five pots are not enough for my family and me.😅
Thank you for reading 😊
