Critical photography. (ENG / SPA) When a tourist rolled down the staircase and lost his life, they closed the pyramid. It took one life, as far as we know, and many injuries, for the authorities of the archaeological site of Chichen Itza, in the Yucatan, to decide to ban the access to the top of the pyramid. For them it was not foreseeable, no. For anyone who has visited the site, it was obvious that going up and down the staircase was a real danger, but the managers and authorities preferred to look the other way as long as nothing serious happened.
