Lessons from virgin Mary 1. Relationship with God: Mary's relationship is so strong to a level whereby angelic encounters is not strange to her unlike zechariah that was troubled when he saw the Angel. Luke 1 verse 11 -13: and there appeared to him an angel of the Lord standing on the right side of the altar of incense. And zechariah was troubled when he saw him, and fear fell upon him. But the Angel said to him, "do not be afraid , zechariah, for your prayer is heard....... The encounter was strange to Zechariah but Mary wasn't afraid but she wondered what his words meant.... meaning that she is used to angelic encounters. Luke chapter 1 verse 38: And Mary said, "behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord........ Before this can be said...it means Mary really know who God is. 2. FAITH: In history, it is known that a man must impregnate a woman....but Mary have the faith to believe that she can be pregnant without a man. Hebrew chapter 11 verse 1-3: now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. For by it the men of old received divine approval. By faith we understand that the world was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was made out of things which do not appear. There is no success journey with God without faith. You can't walk with God if you don't have faith hebrew 11 verse 6 says and without faith it is impossible to please him. For whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him. Faith is the ability to take God at his word....faith is the currency in the spirit realm to transact with God. Let's look at the story of Hannah in the book of 1samuel chapter 1 verse 13-18: Hannah was speaking in her heart; only her lips moved, and her voice was not heard; therefore Eli took her to be a drunken woman. And Eli said to her, "how long will you be drunken? Put away your wine from you." But Hannah answered, "No, my Lord, I am a woman sorely troubled; I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but I have been pouring out my soul before the Lord. Do not regard your maidservant as a base woman, for all along I have been speaking out of my great anxiety and vexation." Then Eli answered, "Go in peace, and the God of israel grant your petition which you have made to him." And she said, "Let your maidservant find favour in your eyes." And her countenance was no longer sad (FAITH)..... After this God remembered Hannah and she conceived and bore a son. If you want to see the glory of God in your life, career, business and family etc. It will be by faith. One thing that separates Joshua and Caleb from other guys is their FAITH in Numbers chapter 13 verse 1 to end..... Other guys brought an evil report based on what they saw....but Joshua and Caleb brought a good report based on their faith.....bible says we walk by faith not by sight.

The ministry of prayer Prayer is in threefold: 1. Fellowship with God 2. Intercession 3. Warfare If God is not in a place definitely satan is there and one of the ways of bringing God to the scene is through the ministry of prayer; interceding for men/women. If you're a man/woman of prayer; the world will definitely cry out to you one day. Do you know that your world start from your home? If you accept the responsibility of an intercessor; God won't be able to do anything in your family until he told you and satan won't be able to do anything in your family until you're told so you can resist him,it's a twofold revelation. It has nothing to do with a being a preacher, pastor or prophet. Bible says men ought always to pray and not to faint. You shouldn't rely on someone's spirituality because it's a requirement for every Elishas to carry the double portion of Elijah's because the kind of warfare that will face Elishas will require double portion anointing. Destinies of people are on your shoulder and failure to rise to a dimension of grace will make those people to suffer. Prophet Isaiah prophesied about Jesus "the government will be upon his shoulder" and Jesus told us in John 14 verse 12 "truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in me will also do the works that I do; and greater works than these will he do, because I go to the father. When you decide to accept the role of an intercessor; you will begin to see and hear things that ordinary people can't hear and see because when you're praying, you're praying you're legislating in the realm of spirit for the will of God to find expression on Earth. For you to survive in this wicked world you need prayer because men ought always to pray and not to faint. It's a requirement. You can't know the potency of your prayer until you study the book of James chapter 5 verse 16b - 18: the prayer of a righteous man has great power in it's effects. Elijah was a man of like nature with ourselves and he prayed fervently that it might not rain, and for three years and six months it did not rain on the earth. Then he prayed again and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought forth it's fruit. Do you know that men are under the influence of spirits? It can either be light or darkness. You should accept the responsibility of an intercessor; remember at least one person in your prayer everyday; don't do it as a ritual but do it for grace. Things to note about prayer: 1. Beware of practicing your piety before men in order to be seen by them. (Mathew 6 verse 6: but when you pray, go into your room and shut your door and pray to your father who is in secret; and your father who sees in secret will reward you) 2. Forgiveness: whenever you decide to be a man/woman of prayer; satan will orchestrate offences to come your way because he knows that unforgiveness will hinder your prayer before God (Mathew 6 verse 14 - 15: for if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly father also will forgive you; but if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your father forgive your trespasses.

Law of success Zechariah 4 verse 6 “not by might nor by power, but by my spirit, says the Lord of hosts” If you are trying to do things with your power and might, you will collide with forces that are stronger than you because you are trying to break a law that has been in existence since ages. John 15 verse 4-5 “Abide in me and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in me. I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in me, and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing. You shouldn’t rely on your ability because God knows what you don’t know and he sees what you can’t see. You don’t know the future but he do. Whatever that will happen to you in the next 5 years God already know. Why don’t you trust him and let his will be done. Proverb 3 verse 5 – 7: trust in the lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the lord, and turn away from evil. Trusting the lord will save from troubles and you won’t fall into the traps of the evil one because he says in Isaiah 52 verse 12 that for you shall not out in haste, and you shall not go in flight, for the lord will go before you, and the God of Israel will be your rear guard. When you partner with God you will have access to his wisdom, knowledge and understanding. Proverbs 2 verse 6-7: for the lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. He stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk in integrity. Partnership with God is the secret of King David’s success; he never fought any battle until he inquires of the Lord. Human beings are naturally limited; it’s for a purpose, God did this for us to realize the need for him in our daily life. We try to do it all by ourselves because we don’t know how powerful God is. Job 38 verse 4-11: “where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Tell me, if you have understanding. Who determined its measurements surely you know! Or who stretched the line upon it? On what were its bases sunk, or who laid its cornerstone, when the morning stars sand together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? “or who shut in the sea with doors, when it burst forth from the womb; when I made clouds its garment, and thick darkness uts swaddling band, and prescribed bounds for it, and set bars and doors, and said, ‘thus far shall you come, and no farther, and here shall your proud waves be stayed’?. Trust in him; he's able to do what he says he will do. Trust and obey.

"God of the ancient?" In the present era, miraculous signs and wonders have been gradually becoming the things of the past. Even many people called christians are no longer having the conviction that signs are still real. We asked ourselves why these things came to be. Many always thought that maybe the power of God has reduced because of less signs and wonders in the present generation which is not so. God is still the same yesterday, today and forever. It's our generation that has been far away from God. Lawlessness and Immoralities have been the order of the day and our God despise sins. There has been many arguments and debates that can all the signs that happened in the days of Old still happen again? But I want you to know that the power of God can never be ridicule, the ancient power is still at work even till date(Hebrew 13:8) Throughout the ministry of Jesus on earth, he never for once neglected miraculous signs and wonders. After Jesus has resurrected, during his last speech to his disciples he gave them a strict command that they must follow "Evangelism". And this command is for all christians, after these he gave them assurance of backing them up with: 1. They will be able to drive out demons in his name. Remember many instances in the bible when Jesus drove out demons from people. This was done later by the disciples also after the before and after the ancension of Christ. This is an example of the assurance given to us by Christ. 2. Speak in new tongues. Through the fill of the holy spirit. We will be able to speak in tongues not understandable by human reasoning. 3. Pick up snake in their hand 4. They will eat deadly poison but will not harm them 5. They will heal the sick. All these assurance is for all the bonafide sons and daughters of God. Attributes to possess to experience the Assurances. 1. Genuine Salvation Experience (John 1:12). Jesus said and these signs will accomplish those that believe in my name... This shows that until you give your life to Jesus you can never operate in the realm of signs and wonders 2. Faith and Belief(Mark 5:36) One of the requirements to possess these assurances is to have faith and believe that signs and wonders from God is real. It's not fake or magic. 3. Boldness (2 Tim. 1:7) Fear and timidity is one of the strategies that devil has been using to limit the power of God in our generation, for us to operate in this realm there is a need for us to be bold. 4. Living faith(Matthew 21:21-22) Faith is a solid substance that enable signs and wonders to come to reality and manifestation. Before anything great can happen in this generation we must increase the level of our faith, the faith that go beyond doubt. 5. Holy Spirit (Acts 1:8) Without the holy spirit there is no signs and wonders, because the Holy Spirit is the one that will release auction and ability upon a man to do what is beyond the natural. The more you fill yourself with the holy spirit the more the power of God that will be activating upon your life. We can see how people like Peter and Paul did many signs and miracles in their time. We are mortals like them. Do you forget about people getting healed just through the shadows of all these great men. God worked powerfully with them and can still do today. All you need to do is to be a child of God and also believe and activate your faith in the spiritual realm.
