Blackbird(movie review) It was my daily routine to watch a movie every afternoon and this movie that I've watched today seems to have a different kind of story.Its all about a family and the last days of their moms life. https://youtu.be/v8zgvIp7k68 **THE CHARACTERS** Susan Sarandon as Lily She was sick and had already a very short span of life and the doctor told her that she gonna suffer the worst situation with her health as the days goes by.And Lily doesn't want to see herself suffering and bedridden that's why she come up with a terrible decision ,in killing herself through a poison.But her daughter Ana was feeling afraid.Lily insisted that she will pursue it because that's what she's choose and that's what she likes to do. Sam Neill as Paul husband of Lily He is a emotional during the last night with his wife on a dinner table.His having an affair with Lily's best friend because Lily asked for it,so that her best friend can fill out the space with her husband when she died. Mia Wasikowska as Ana She was a woman who doesn't really felt that her mother was proud of her,and she didn't even know her well ,because she lived away from her parents for so many years.Shes having a mental health problem and she's dealing with it.Shes planning to call 911 when her mother will do the suicide,but her plan was not fulfill because they have all agree with it. Kate Winslet as Jennifer She loved her mother and was worried about her condition so much but one night she saw her Dad and her mom's best friend kissing and she felt angry because she didn't know that it was her mother's wish for the both of them. These four characters was the main actors of the story and it was very emotional and heartwarming movie.But I also find it a sensitive part in which a sick person (Lily),have decided to do a suicide.They are having a one week family gathering,until Christmas Day,and this was the last time that they can see their mother.And on the last day,all their secrets were revealed and everyone have heard it,and they all agree that Lily will die through a poison .That was a very tough decision for the family. Question **If you were Lily's daughter or son,would agree to let her do the suicide?** My answer is No. If I were Lily's daughter,I will never let her kill herself,just because she is sick.Fist of all,we don't have the right to do the suicide,it's against God's will. Being sick doesn't mean to death already,death will come at the right time ,not with our own ways,or with other people but with God who owns it,is the one has the right to take our life. Lily was just too afraid with her future and what will happen to her in the coming days,but it's doesn't mean that she will kill herself. A person might end up this kind of decision ,when she is experiencing a depression and anxiety about the coming days of her life. **Talking about family** Some families have gathered together,and see each other when there's someone who is sick or someone die.Do you agree? Yes,it happened to us,in our family.Last year,my cousin who is drink came into our house,and say that,Auncle we can see each other when someone will die!My father get mad at him,because he thinks that my cousin is cursing that someone will die in the family. A few months later last September,my grandmother died because she is sick,that time covid cases were soaring.And yes,it's true,all of my father's siblings came home,to see her mom inside the coffin crying.One of their siblings were angry because they don't visit our Lola while she was healthy. Just like what happened on the movie,their family see each other when their Mom died already. It's always better to tighten a relationship before anything else will happened to a family. **For the Children** Know your parents well before the endgame. Just like Ana's character on the movie,she didn't want her mother to die because she didn't lived with her for a long time,she want to spend more time. Blaming ourselves can happened ,if we don't spend time talking,and knowing our parents more. I will always encourage the you to love and be with their parents as long as possible while they were still alive because we never know when will their life's end. It's just a matter of spending time with them,while eating,or doing something with our parents really brings a great impact on the coming days. **Can you asked your husband to cheat on you?** It's happens with Lily on the movie,she asked her husband paul to have a relationship with her best friend,who also aged like her. This was a painful thing for their children and even with her husband but they agreed with it. It's just a very different kind of story which makes me think,does it happens in real life?But if it will,how hard the situation is and painful for the family. We should not waste time for unimportant things ,or we may not noticed that we already enjoyed the leisure things on earth and for forget establishing relationship with our family. This 2022 its a great time and opportunity to enjoy our life with our family .If we are given many years ,how much time do we spend for our family,friends and our spouse?
