Today, we celebrated the birthday of my batchmate in college. It was a big surprise for her that we will be present to be celebrating with her family.
Her eldest daughter communicated with my other classmate to check if we are available today at lunch time. We agreed to join the family.
Our friend celebrant was so shocked when we greeted her and gave her a bottle of sweet red wine.
We are so glad we made someone happy today.

Today, I had a chance to visit the Basilica del Sto Niño de Cebu. Every Friday, we have a devotion to our Child Jesus Sr. Sto. Niño. There are masses and novena prayers at the Basilica. After hearing the mass and novena, I went to the parish office to have a healing mass offered to some friends who are sick.
Then I saw some women who do the traditional Sinolog and they pray for your petition. I bought 2 candles to be offered for the 2 persons I wanted the lady to pray for healing. After her Sinulog offering, I brought the candles to the stone kiosk where the Magellan's cross was planted. This is where we offer the candles after the Sinulog offering.
The photo I took was inside the stone kiosk and you will see the centuries old Magellan's Cross . It's one of the many tourist attractions here in our city.

Ito naman po ang hinanda ko para sa lunch, fried dilis with caramelized sugar and itlog maalat na may kamatis. May fried rice din po ako nay may sahog na fried egg.

Today I joined the novena prayers for the first death anniversary of our uncle. He passed away during the time when Covid was at its height and he died of Covid.
I am so glad that I am feeling okay already and was able to go out and joined the family prayers.
I did not go home immediately after the novena because I noticed that my auntie is now living by herself. Her children lives abroad except for one son who lives about 2 km away. Good that her daughter-in-law helps and looks after her needs. She has no companion or helper at home. I spent sometime talking with my auntie and her daughter-in-law.
I was happy to spend a few hours with her.
While we were talking, I can see our Mother Mary looking at us so I took a photo of our Lady of Lourdes.
This is a big image of our Lady. We have lots of memories in this house and grotto. I miss my uncle because whenever I visited them when he was still alive , we usually had our sensible talk and I learned a lot from him. Rest in peace uncle Fred.

I prepared early because I planned to attend the FEAST at the Ayala Center this morning. I suddenly felt some tummy problems so I changed my plan. I'll just stay at home and take care of our pets because their mommies are going to serve at the FEAST.
I'm home alone again but I'll be doing some stuff so it's okay with me.
I already attended an anticipated mass yesterday afternoon.

Good morning!
It's a rainy day so I got some malunggay leaves and alugbati (local spinach) from the garden to make some vegetable soup or "utan bisaya". I also added some okra which I harvested from my potted okra plant. It's always a good feeling to eat fresh vegetables harvested from the garden.

Today, my one and only brother is celebrating his special day . I haven't seen him for more than ten years but we constantly communicate and update each other. My prayers are with him today for a healthy, peaceful, happy and long life.
I have also a number of close friends celebrating their birthday this August. My birthday wishes to my friends too.

Today is my laundry day.
I started washing the dark colored and heavy clothes so that I can hang them early to dry.
While waiting for my load to be done, I made my breakfast. I cooked whole oats and added slices of bananas,raisins, milk and Musli.

There's a stall at Ayala Center named Avocadoria. Everything they sell are avocado based.
I want to share this flavorful, delicious and nutritious dessert called Avocado lover. It is made of avocado soft ice cream layered with some tapioca pearls, biscuits, and topped with avocado chunks, chia seeds and almond slices. I enjoyed eating this dessert. It very filling and nutritious.
I'm sure avocado lovers would like this.

Last night we experienced heavy rains with strong winds. At 11pm, I received a warning from NDRRMC -Orange Rainfall Warning . Nagbabanta ang matinding pag-ulan, pagbaha, at pagguho ng lupa sa area namin.
Mabuti naman at tumigil din ang ulan at hindi namin naranasan angpagbaha.
This morning, lumabas din si haring araw ngunit medyo cloudy din.
Habang nagpapakain ako sa mga alaga, kay Tenshi at sa alley cat Ginger, napansin ko itong potted okra. 3 pots po ang nakatanim at yung 2 pots ay nagbibigay ng fruits. I feel so blessed. Salamat Lord sa grasya na binibigay mo sa araw araw.
Nakakatuwa po tingnan. Maybe a few days after, I can harvest and cook them.

It's the first of August 2022! Time travels so fast.
I am grateful for all the blessings that were bestowed upon me and family. Thank you Lord for keeping everyone safe and healthy. Thank you for the exemplary accomplishments of each family member for the past months.
We decided to celebrate last Saturday and had dinner at a recommended Steakhouse here in our city known as Acacia.
Indeed their black pepper steak was so good, delicious and melts in your mouth. We had other orders whose names I couldn't memorize! We had a pitcher of Sangria and I had a good amount of drink. Dessert was Creme Brulee which made me happy too.
Sometimes it's always good to bond and celebrate whatever little accomplishments we have in life.
The memories we make are so valuable and can't be traded with whatever money involved.

I heard Tenshi barking so I checked outside and saw my compadre . He brought us some frozen goods. Thank you so much Baguio Meat Store. We have siomai, beef burgers, Hungarian sausages, sweet ham, tocino, hotdogs with cheese and ube cheese siopao.

I already placed them inside our freezer. We have not bought some meat yet so I had enough space for these items in the freezer.
This will be our first time to taste the ube cheese siopao. The last time they gave us the mini asafo siopao and it tasted good.

I missed the morning stroll listening to the sound of the waves and birds chirping.
The photo was taken by my "igso" , son of my godmother who owned the resort where my friends and I spent a few days vacation. I was doing my morning walk while taking some photos of the sea and view.
It's always fun and refreshing to spend sometime with nature. I had so much fun with my friends. We cooked food together, share our life's journey and laugh at our jokes.
We just have to enjoy life while we still can.

It's a beautiful Sunday.
I am relaxing here at home alone.
I was amazed looking at our cat Red who slept inside a new shoe box so I took his photo.
Red is Pepper's offspring. He loves to be around people. We are left alone in the house and he opted to sleep after eating his meal.
I had been busy a few days ago so I was not able yo visit here.
I hope everyone is doing perfectly well.

It's good to take some time out from our busy city life and commune with nature.
As I am doing my sunbathing, I also did some earthing. I walked on the grass barefooted to get the energy from the earth. "Shooting two birds at a time", as the saying goes.

My classmates from my elementary school are bonding together at our classmate's special place by the sea.
We're staying here for two nights sharing beautiful memories together after many years of being lockdown due to pandemic.

It's a busy morning today.
I thank the Lord for waking me up healthy and strong ready to face our everyday challenges.
Since it's Thursday, I collected our garbage early so that the dump truck can get it.
I brought all wet laundered clothes under the sun so that all will get dry. I washed some thick towels and bedsheets yesterday afternoon.
I am glad that I was able to get my morning sunshine too. It's a big help to make us healthy.
As you can see in the photo, the sun is shining brightly. I pray it continues to shine so that my laundry will dry fast.

Nag attend ng conference ang aking panganay at kanyang husband ( a 4-day event po sa Malaysia) kaya may chance ako na tanggalin ang kanilang curtains at labhan. Mabuti at natuyo agad kaya binalik ko rin . Tinulongan ako ni bunso , siya ang umakyat sa ladder para isabit ang kurtina. Thank you so much my dear bunso. You are a great help. Mabuti naka work from home siya today.
Happy naman ang mag asawa ng pinakita ko sa kanila ang picture ng kanilang room.
Malinis na rin ang kanilang bedsheets and pillowcases para pagdating nila fresh na fresh.
Masarap po talaga matulog kapag bagong laba ang ating mga bedsheets.
Oras na po para magpahinga at mag ready for our dinner later. May ulam pa ako na naiwan from our lunch kaya yun na ang kakainin ko. Baka gagawa daw ng sandwich si bunso for her dinner.

It's a cool evening here because it rained earlier.
Good that the rain had stopped already.
Before dinner time, I went to my sister-in-law's place because today marked the 40th day since the passing of my brother-in-law. I attended the novena for the dead and had dinner with the family.
When I arrived home, bunso asked me how to clean or wash their newly bought green blazer. I checked the instructions and noticed that it should not be washed. So I told bunso to have the blazer dry cleaned at the professional dry cleaners.
I am not an expert on laundry symbols but I just based it on the drawing.

I stayed at home today because I already attended an anticipated mass yesterday.
I was home alone so I just cooked some malunggay soup and fried fish for lunch.
I saw that our laundry basket is full so I washed the dirty clothes because the sun was up this morning.
After lunch , dark clouds started to appear so I kept the clothes hanged in the clothes line to be safe whenever rain comes.
Now I am resting and having some sweet snacks.
I got M&M's fun size milk chocolates and Hershey's bar. While I was nibbling the M&M's I remembered the time when I was still at the early stage of pregnancy for my second child. I was still working at the office during that time and I really loved eating M&M's that I used to have a big pack stored in my office drawer. I ate it slowly and didn't bother sharing it to my officemates. Maybe that was the time when I was still at the stage we call "naglilihi" when we are craving to eat something.
Maybe some of married women here had experienced that stage in their life too.

Yesterday was a day of bonding with my college friends. Our classmate arrived from US with her family for a vacation.
She contacted me to gather some friends around for a mini reunion. Most of those who came were residents in our province but one came all the way from Surigao to grace the occasion.
It was always fun to see and talk with our friends.
We ate, talked and laughed together. We resolved to keep bonding together as long as we are able.

They served us delicious food and everyone had a great time.

It's a fun Friday with the family.
My sister-in -law booked 6 rooms at Shangrila Hotel at Mactan, Cebu for the family to relax and enjoy.
After we settled down in our rooms we had snacks at the Ocean view poolside bar. I had a dip at the sea and the pool. My sister-in-law took a shot while I was at the pool.
During dinner time, we ate at the Buko Bar. They had a buffet dinner with lechon and other dishes. I ate mostly seafoods like fish, shrimp and crab. I also tasted their lechon and pancit.
We enjoyed the night because they had a presentation of dances from Sinulog to different native dances.

I received your blessings today and I am very grateful.
Yesterday was full of fun with the family.
The sea was so calm and the weather was cooperating with us.
We only went to two islands because we started late already.
The first island we visited called "Kawhagan" had white shoreline but we stayed in the boat. The younger members of the family swam around and enjoyed the cool waters.
We went to another island to see more corals and fishes. This is at the Fish Sanctuary at the Olango Island. We took some photos of the fishes.
It's always fun to be with nature. I liked breathing the fresh air around and listening to the sounds of the waves.
I am grateful to the cousins who organised the event for us to get together and have fun.
