Yesterday afternoon at around 4:30 pm, we experienced a heavy downpour in our area. Good that the heavy rains stopped after 30 minutes so I started going out to fetch my elderly auntie just in the neighborhood. We are going to attend a mass at our family chapel which is about 10 minutes ride from our location. My auntie lives alone in her house. When I arrived a few meters away from her gate, this picture welcomed me. Their area was flooded. You needed to wade through the dirty waters to get out. What I worry most is that many people pass thru this area because just a few meters away is the Barangay Health Center. There is also a private school on the other side and many students use this path as their short cut to reach their school. I pray that the government will find a way to solve this problem.
