I am grateful that our area had been lighted 11 days after the devastating typhoon. I heard from a friend that their area still doesn't have power and water. It's almost a month now. They are currently using solar lamp and fetch water from a nearby deep well. Really back to basics . According to my friend, about 200 electric poles in their area either fell or were cut/broken. I am praying that everything will be restored as soon as possible so that everyone can go back to our normal lives. We Filipinos are known for being resilient. Facing calamities in life is a test of our faith, patience and kindness. It is during difficult times that we see the real characters of our families, neighbors and friends. I feel lucky to have a kind family and helpful neighbors who were able to assist us in times of need. Thank you Lord for sending the good and kind people around.
