#Food Trip We had a pre birthday celebration for my youngest daughter last night. It was my eldest daughter who chose the restaurant and a special treat from my son-in-law . I am grateful that my children have a very good relationship with each other. There were lots of food choices whether ready to eat or for barbecue or shabu-shabu. Each one has his/her own pot for the shabu-shabu and each can choose the base soup like pork, vegie, laksa or sinigang soup. I chose the pork based soup and added some noodles, lobster balls, beef balls, fish cake, togue, some greens and fresh egg. I really don't know how to do it but I just added everything to a boiling soup and waited until all were cooked and had my soup already. While waiting for the soup to cook, I got some ready to eat food like shrimp and vegies tempura, sweet/sour pork, salt and peppered pork, and fried rice. I got a few maki sushi rolls just to fill my hungry tummy while waiting for my soup and the barbecue made by my daughter. It was a very unique eating experience and I enjoyed it. You have the freedom to make your own soup according to your liking. The photo below showed samples of the food I ate last night. I got so satisfied especially that I asked 2 scoops of ice cream (ube and strawberry flavor) for dessert. My daughter also got some papaya and watermelon and she gave everything to me. It's a joy to eat with the family and celebrate life. Good morning.
