Spring of Jelovicka river, Old Mountain, Serbia The spring of the Jelovicka river is one of the magical places of the Stara Planina (Old Mountain). It is a spring of circular shape and rich green color in almost all seasons. The transparency of the water is astonishing, as the smallest details can be seen at a depth of over 30 meters without any problems. It is of unknown depth. So far, divers have dived to a depth of about -50 meters below the water level and in the length of the underwater cave of about 110 meters. An interesting legend follows the spring. Locals claim that the spring dries completely once a year for several hours and that it happens on approximately the same days during August.
